Next topic for discussion:  :  Ashmari (renal stone - kidney stone or bladder stone) and its management with #Ayurveda...
Dr. J. T. Contractor: Kulthia ( Kalshi) is best to break stone in kidney  & blader, proven therapy ( hope some one doesn't ask of reference!), kulthi kadha taken in place of water daily, but a teaspoon full powder of kulthi in a week's time removes stone, besides it flushes entire renal system,it's a best cleanser……Khadamar also available, some give it with soda, but best & safe is Kulthi-Kalshi-Kulthia
Dr. Jinal Thakkar: There is a reference in sushrut samhita abt Kulattha (Kalshi),  Where kulittha has been mentioned as pathyakar for ashmari
Dr. Meghdoot Satvekar: Ref of kulith in treatment of stone
Dr. Bhadresh Naik: Look at samprati…….Vata and kapha Are involved….So treat vatshamak and coughnask medicine
 (Images)
Surat Vd Mukul Patel: There are drugs which have no reference in any samhita,   but are used traditionaly, or in tribal or folk  medicine. There are many such drugs having miraculous results used by bagats in dang,  I have personally seen them use a drug in renal calculi,   Kurdu seeds. Sorry, no differentiation  as per doshas,  no understanding of samprapti, And no reference. I have used  these seeds with excellent results.
Shri Minoo parabia: That's lampdi or Celosia argentea. Seeds are diuretic.
Dr. Bhadresh Naik: Sigrubij and parnfuti are useful
Surat Vd Mukul Patel: @ prabiya sir,  yes sir I was talking about Celosia, the plant that is referred to as silver spiked purple cocks comb in general,  It is a potential medicinal plant, not much explored .
Vd. Dipak Upadhyay: I m using Gokshur , pasanbhed & water therapy.
Dr Dipak Shirude: Can someone share the two theories stated by Sushruta regarding formation of ashmari ?
Vd. Manhar Prajapati: For pain avpidak sneh is good before food followed by 3hr after taking food…..What is kurudu seeds?
Dr. Arvind panchal: I m using combination of drugs like apamarg, chhota gokshur, bhoomi amlaki, punarnava, bijora, kulthi and yavkhar...in liquid form....it gives best results in stone up to 10mm size....
USA Parulben: One professor from Surat college (forgot his name who was my examiner) has done great resurch  work on corn hair. Corn hair is very strong diuretic works faster then tab . Lasix. It gives good result in renal stone. By the way no sanhita or charak, Sushrut or vagbhatt has mentioned about this. Together we all trying to unfold this Devine Science on this platform and trying to promote Ayurveda better way.
Dr. Saritha Reddy: Sir, u have said about corn hair, pl give some details about how to administer, it to the patient
Dr. Suyog Kulkarni: My father Vaidya S.K. Kulkarni used to use corn hair in form of decoction along with other herbs like gokshur in renal stones.
Baroda Arti parimal: Corn silk, Punarnava, Neem chhal powder, Pipal (ficus religious) teak powder, Make a decoction of these, Good for creatinine and prostate
+91 94286 00239: Gokshur churna + purnanava churna + hajaradyahud bhas…..This combination with soda also give best results in renal stone
Shri Minoo parabia: My pujya Guruji, shri Bapalal Vaidya used to recommend following decoction on Cholelithiasis….Moringa bark, Boerhavia root, Tribulus fruits, Celosia seeds, Tephrosia root all in equal proportion. Sahajan, Punarnava,  goxur, Survali, Sarpankh
Exi kir: I m suffering from kidney stone since last 30 years. So far, 7 stones have come out without operation. 5 months back this kidney stone came out.
Dr. Lokesh Mehta: Combination of hajralyahood yavkshar moolikshar and shvet parpati. Gives good result along with gokshuradi gug and juice of pathar chatta.
Exi kir: I prepare Barly water (Jav nu pani) at home and consume it. "Vajrasan" is good in this problem.
Dr. Lokesh Mehta: Kulath dal water is also useful in renal stones. Do kapal bhati pranayam regularly for renal stones
Exi kir: Which food is restricted?
Dr. Ravindra Upadhyay: Avoid suppressing natural urge like. Passing. urine for a long time, at the same time wrong dietary food habbits regularly, as mentioned in the leaflet NOT MADE FOR EACH OTHER, uploaded to. Flinnt, also pl ref to the article uploade, PREVENTION OF KIDNEY DISEASES AN AYURVERDIC APPROACH, this will help quite a lot from. prevention pt of view. Among the medications,  POONARNAVADI. KATHA, CHANDRAPRABHA TAB, GOKHURADI GUGGUL, use of the leaves of. Parnabeej, ie. Bryophylum raw as well as juice helps quite a lot,  Brayophyllum is available  everywhere. Use of. Raddish, cucumber, regularly,  sugarcane juice without ice to be consumed regularly. pl avoid drinking a lot of water when not thirsty, drink only when thirsty, perspiring quite a lot. Chilled water always disturbs the digestive fire, leading to Agnimandya, subsequently weaking of digestive. system
Vd. Sandip Patel: I ask you remedy of any type of stone used by my late GURU pu.Narsinhkaka 1) idrajav 10gm+vacha 1 gm+Abhaya 5gm with ghee 2)sagbeej powder100 gm+tulsibeej 100 gm twice along with lepdi beej with plenty of water
Dr. Dipalee Malviya: One should avoid this food in kidney stone.....Beans,cauliflower,egg yolk, milk products, potatoes, beef ,chickoo, cashew nuts, cocoa, spinach, tomato, ground nuts, custard apple, salmon fish, meat extracts. As we all r genetically different with different constitution n patterns,we respond to treatment in many different ways.  Stone formation is a gradual process n the tendency in a susceptible person persists through out life.Vigilance with adequate fluid intake n diet is needed indefinitely. The simplest guide to drink enough fluids to see tht the urine is very light in colur.Dilute urine avoids concentration of solids n also tends to make the urine neutral. Also treat urinary infection for prevention.
Shri Minoo parabia: Types of crystals tell us the chemical nature of the calculi. Basically there is a combination of active plus diuretics and an advise for ingestion of lots of water. One of the most common methods is use of barley or yava kshar and decoction of Gokhru.  Many experiments are presently being carried out by scientists including physicists and chemist to test in vitro breaking down of extracted calculi using different chemicals and herbal extracts. Aim is to loosen bonding of the crystalline layers formed around the nucleus. Also to make the urine less concentrated.  Varunadi kwath is also found good.
Vd. Nikul Thakkar Palanpur: In my experience. Varunadi kwath with Yavkshar at empty stomach in morning.  Pramehgaj kesari ras, Chandraprabha vati , Gives best result. I have cured more then 100 patients  of stone. And excellent result of these medicines.  And also advise diet plan..
Dr. Prerak Shah: Is there any role of pranayam in renal stone?
Vd. Nikul Thakkar Palanpur: Yes sir. Paschimottanasan & Kapalbhati pranayam also beneficial.
Shri Minoo parabia: That's great. Amazing achievement. Please do enlighten about complications, if any, encountered.
Dr. Hardikchandra Kalal: Which are complications seen practically  after cholecystectomy ??
Vd. Manhar Prajapati: Gastric trouble acdt. ...
Dr Dipak Shirude: [ This is sharing of knowledge and experience, preferably for Medicos ] When Major Singh ( NCC Officer ) came to me, he was in a great grief as he had suffered from severe colicky pain last night. After proper assessment and USG Abdomen, I confirmed the diagnosis as ureteric calculus. The sonologist found the dimension 8.3 mm only.----------Mr. Singh was also suffering from irritable bowel habits, since last many years. This time he was not interested to consume medicine and wait for the result. He asked me for a different kind of treatment. His strong belief in Ayurved insisted me to go for 'Bastikarma' (medicated enemas). I selected simple type and started the course for 15 days. ( 9 Anuvasan + 6 Niruha ). Ingredients were pure seasame oil, water and natural salt ( i.e. saindhav ) only. No medicine was consumed orally at all.  ----------- On the 6th day of the procedure, I administered 'Niruh' type of basti in the morning 8:30 o'clock and returned to OPD. Around 9:45 AM, Major arrived having a smile on his face and shown me the stone which he expelled softly through urin just before. We measured it's dimensions as 8.3 mm width & 18 mm length, looking like a seed of zizyphus ( बदर / बोर ). Though the stone was consisted with scaly and very hard particles, no bleeding or even burning was observed during the evacuation. Is that so easy to pass such stone through male urethra ? or is it a miracle ?  ------------- Not at all, as the references clearly state that,
1. Bastikarma ( especially Niruh ) is indicated in the treatment of Ashmari ( i.e. Calculus ). तेन साधयेत ... अश्मरी ... || ( अष्टांगहॄदय सूत्रस्थान १९/३ )
2. दोषघ्नो निष्परिहारो बल्यः सृष्टमलः सुखः || ( अष्टांगहॄदय सूत्रस्थान १९/३ ) It pacifies excess Doshas, easily evacuates Malas and tones up the body.
3. How it works ? :
        a. Bastikarma brings softness alongwith tone in the body, especially in all the organs below umbilicus.
        b. It corrects the neurological actions and physiology of these organs - internal and external also, urinary track, musculature as well as osteos like vertebras and pelvic girdle.
        c. According to Ayurved, physiology of these organs depends upon the status of " Apaan Vayu ". Bastikarma  normalises the " Apaan Karma ".

something about “Corn Silk”……
USA Dr. Parulben: Sorry due to time difference I couldn't answer your question for corn silk. Yes you can use corn silk as dicoction. 10 grms corn silk boil for 10 minutes with 2 glass of water and use every 2 hour 3 Oz. (You can prepare 1 gallon with same proportions ) I have used as an anupan  with chandraprabhavati in woman. With shilajit in man. Not to eat anything for 24 to 48 hours just cornsilk dicoction. In renal stone. But in gold stone. Erand leaf boil with cow milk and blend it. Give this first in the morning for 7 to 21 days. Most of symptoms will subside in 3  to 7 days. This gives good results in jaundice  too.  This is just guidelines please do not follow blindly as every patient's prakruti is unique and good vaid should make protocol accordingly.

Next topic for discussion:  :   Breakfast and its relevance according to #Ayurveda
Vd. Tapan: Now a days I am served a breakfast in morning at my daughters Sasural in USA and they insist on breakfast very much. Never skip breakfast. I hv never have had breakfast in my 53 yrs…But I feel quite beneficial. What can be the guideline for it in today's sinario …Pl comment
Shri Minoo parabia: I think properly selected bf is a boon. At USA people either skip lunch or take a light working lunch unlike India. So bf is one of the major meals of the day. Refuelling the body in early hours keep the person fit.
Vd. Kinshuk Hirpara: Mostly USA people have breakfast and supper. Means dinner but a little early. Arnd 6.30 they take supper and morning breakfast.  They dnt take proper lunch. So their metabolism habituated by that. But we have lunch and dinner. Coz v make lots of things to cook. They dnt cook esp white n blk ppl.
Vd. Mukesh Pandya: Either it is India or US, Ayurveda suggest to take light diet. As such Tapanbhai you need restricted diet. ….     :D :D
Shri Minoo parabia: Don't overdo their orange juice! It's horrific sour.
Satyen: I hv rural background. I hv observed that farmers of saurashta region take heavy bf. On big bajra roti and big bowl of milk.
Dr Dipak Shirude: Early morning, even before sunrise, madhuraahaar i.e. sweet diet is advocated in ardhaavbhedak, certain kind of headache. I usually try to take my lunch around 8 am !! .. since last 30 years almost. It is beneficial in many ways.
Vd. Piyush Prajapati Palanpur: Morning eat Rajashahi bhojan like a king …..Noon eat like bhikshu like a saint…..Night or evening like a begger But BF is must imp to take after bath which is nowadays modern called people avoid.. So many patients r advised only to get up in morning before 6am,take bath, then worship of God,then BF ..Doing this I get that their AAM is decreasing its own way.
Dr. Bhadresh Naik: Everyone has to follow biological clock of body of body and mind…..Even dosh….Vrudhi, Prakop, Saman, Desh, Kal, Vaya, Matra, Ati –Hin-Mitya yog, It's not universal for everyone
Bunty Gandhi: What are generally side effects or how it affects body if one doesn't hv bf  for longer times ?
Dr Dipak Shirude: No side effects mostly. It becomes oksatmya later on.
Bunty Gandhi: I feel much comfortable when I avoid BF and takes proper lunch-dinner..So I think its upto individual' body constitution..
Vd. Piyush Prajapati Palanpur: Dincharya and rutucharya is universal for all sir…..Like when to eat, when to bath etc.. yes might b change for someone who is not healthy but he or she must b advised further.. for healthy persons, dincharya and rutucharya according to sanhitas r same except little changes of needed….Y someone gets up in Brahmmuhurtam ?? Everyone who want to b healthy should follow Dincharya. Some people advise all to drink plenty of water after just getting up but I don't advise this for all bcz I don't have studied this in sanhita.  But healthy people want to b healthy forever, then Dincharya must b same for all …..If u get up late, then heavy BF may creat Mandagni..but if u get up early in the morning before 5-6,then u must need BF otherwise dhatvagni become more powerful than Limit. So overall deside to take BF or not as ur work, daily routine, getting up time, sleeping time, digestion etc.
Prof.  Siddharth Panchal: I observed n surveyed  since last 4 years that breakfast is really helping in whole day feel well.. At the same time without breakfast Minds are not settled well to do routine work. Additionally, I personally believe breakfast should be full enough.
USA Dinesh Pandya: As per my opinion EAT ACCORDING TO YOUR JATHARAGNI….Because nowadays people have very less phisical activities.
Bunty Gandhi: Good information.. Yes Its very true that dincharya and rutucharya is universal..
Vd. Piyush Prajapati: Frm last Wednesday hv joined gym as trainer so wakw up 4.30 n kooking for brother tfn last 5 days wake up around 5.30 as no need 2 make tfn den makin tea n bath n goin 2 gym………Return 12.30…….Den tk sm food if kookd toh 1 chapati dal rice salad sabji but last 5 days my bro's training at hotel so m takin dnr 10 at night………Noon m takin some fruits n smtimes sev mamra vt tea……N den if feel tired 2 much to m sleeping til 4.30  vo chakra meditation k c d laga k sleeping den smtimes going 2 yoga or else goin 2 gym 6 to 8 as its split duty………Den buying sabji aata if needed toh reached home around 9 n den mkin dnr  bhakhri smtimes aalu paratha smtimes veg pulau; bread tosted n tea different kind  bro coming at 10 den dnr…..Den thoda bhot kam khtm kar k 12 or 1 slpn……Ystrdy night I couldn't slp 1.30 nind me se kis ne jagaya esa feel hua uske bad 5 bje tk nhi so payi den slp till 8.30 aankh khuli……..My one patient told me her DINCHARYA ……….I changed it as below. She really feel happy with this as below I suggested…..Get up at 4.30 if u can otherwise get up at least before 6am…..First of all,go washroom and finish bath till 5.30/7……Then take little breakfast with cup of tea but if u r going Gym in next one hour, then take little less breakfast then usual…….Breakfast - no bakery items, khari, biscuits, bread, paua etc. Just take Khakhara or fresh chapati….Then ur noon meal - avoid potato, mutter, vege with beans etc…Use brinjal, tomato, mung, deshi chana, cabbage, gobi flower, parval ……….Don't take a sleep after noon meal. I just take rest after Meal for 10-15 min sleeping left lateral….Then take dinner at 7-8. ……..Reason,u wait for ur bro,but better option is when he come, let eat him alone and u sit beside him.but u take dinner between 7-8. ……..Then walk for 30min after one hour of taking dinner. …….Go for sleep before 11am max.
Dr. Arvind panchal: Got good information regarding break fast..We always take breakfast at around 8:00 am...then lunch at 1:00 pm and dinner at 7:30pm...we feel better .thanks..all...participants....as  my opinion one should take food as his/her requirement...appetite...digestion...and work...

Dr. Bhadresh Naik: Thinking habit is dangerous about food rather than what y eat, When y eat, How much you eat, is It disturb you?.....Mind and digestive enzymes

what is Allergy (any kind of)? #Ayurveda approach..and management

Next topic for discussion:  :  what is Allergy (any kind of)? #Ayurveda approach..and management
Germany Helga Fuchs: Allergy: lifestyle, food, (incompatible food), any wrong contakt for prakrti. Food allergy is incompatibility of food  (Rasa, veerya, vipaka, with strenght of agni).  Digestion is disturbed. Ama.
Vd. Ajay Pithiya: Allergy  also denoted as hypersensitivity..  When a person or his body reacts stronlgy against any substance (live or dead) by the virtue of symptoms …..We can understand this by an example.. If pakistan army fight with indian army during war time its normal (no allergy), but if pakistani army continues the attack during cease fire also, this is called hypersensitivity…….Immune mechanism is responsible for this reactions..  Ayurveda stated this as bala (बल)…..Ayurveda scripts supports 3 types of bala..
Sahaj (सहज) natural - from the birth time,  natural immunity…..Kalaj (कालज) -  as growth nd development take place..  Kalaj bala increases….Yuktikrut (युक्तिकृत) - by the mean of healthy diet nd life style and with use of some drugs we can acquire this bala …….So for any of allergic reaction (allergic rhinitis or atopic dermatitis) besides the symptomatic management bala vruddhi (बलवृद्धि) is needed..  Which can be achieved by immunomodulator drugs….The word Bala (बल) simply means strength
Dr. Dipak Shirude:  Nowadays, Allergy is a trump card word. Whenever a medical practitioner fails in diagnosis or patient can not be relieved in stipulated time, allergy is declared. Many times being on safer side and not to loose the patient at earliest, practitioners use this word vigorously. Many patients also put them into the patients chair, saying that he is a sufferer of allergy.  First we have to see the patient thoroughly with all the Ayurved concepts especially from responsible factors (hetu or nidaan) and then doshik involvement in the samprapti i.e. flowchart of progress of an ailment. Once we decide dosh responsible for his signs and symptoms, we can plan shodhan and shaman chikitsa as per the situation. This will cure him. Then we have to make arrangement for apunarudbhav chikitsa which will avoid recurrence of the disease.  Generally what we denote allergy is pratishyaya or pinas or a kind of kushtha i.e. skin disorder. If we go by above criterion, we get success. And there remains no question of allergy. Yet, the terms said in Ayurved as ……..Saatmya - Asatmya - Oksatmya  are somewhat nearer to the so called allergy.
Consumption of an Asatmya causes imbalance of doshas and therefore result into an ailment. There is ample description of such things scattered in samhitas. One can find it if he tries to go through the samhitas in that regard or intention. Charak has even stated about Asatmya Jal i.e. drinking water. If someone migrated in the area where he or she cannot suit the water available there, he should not give up but with time he will make his body adjustable to suit the available water. These minute things described in samhitas are a great vision provided to us and we can create effective policy against the real allergic conditions.
The recent example of water reveals the fact that every time we can not run away from causative factors but we have to mould our natural psychosomatic tendency to adjust with the nature. And we are doing it currently also. We consume so many pesticides and artificial things which are like poison but we are surviving. This is nature. We are adjusting many many Asatmya things nowadays. These Asatmya, we can say allergens are all around us. In our air, water, food, fruits, vegetables, oils, ghrit, our clothing ... nothing is exempted from allergens. Only some of us, sometimes get ill and we have all the therapies in Ayurved like Panchkarma, Rasayan chikitsa and Swasthvritta rules as well as Aacharan to save humanity from these hazardous unwanted allergens.
After a long long thinking and studying principles of Ayurved ad well as many preparations available in market, I have found some great formulations that we can randomly use to tackle successfully these so called allergic situations. Some of the main contents I can state here are : 3 well-known rasayan fruits, shwet sariwa, guggulu, kanchanar, rajani etc.
Finally I can state that, an Ayurved vaidya should not make himself confused in modern way of thinking about allergy. Just forget that hypersensitivity and that histamine and all those hypotheses. Only see the patient, his constitution, his way of living, his detailed history regarding his illness and make pure Ayurved treatment plan for him including samshodhan as well as shaman chikitsa. Show him pathway for ideal healthy living. Take keen observation of the patients routine even about teeth and mouth washing - bathing soaps - hair oils etc. everything. Find faults and correct them. That is all to conquer over allergy !!!
Dr. Meghdoot Satvekar:  In allergy their is vat , patta prakope , may be due to worm infestation , main content of hingwastak churn is hingu which is  used  indigestion and other stomach problems. Its anti-inflammatory and anti-oxidant properties alleviate upset stomach, intestinal gas, intestinal worms, flatulence. so I suggest to add this along with other medicine .
Satyen: Can nasya of Anu tail help in dealing with allergy?
Dr. Prerak Shah: Yes. Nasya treatment can be helpful to counteract respiratory allergies. Medicine came be anu oil or any other as per the case may be.
Satyen: Even nasya of cow ghee or waxing with erand tail may be helpful... I suppose..
Dr. Arun Tiwari: Eosinophilia can be idiopathic (primary) or, more commonly, secondary to another disease. allergic or atopic diseases are the most common causes, especially those of the respiratory or integumentary systems. In the developing world, parasites are the most common cause. A parasitic infection of nearly any bodily tissue can cause eosinophilia. Diseases that feature eosinophilia as a sign include the following:
Allergic disorders - Asthma[4], Hay fever[4], Drug allergies[4], Allergic skin, diseases[4], Pemphigus[4] Dermatitis herpetiformis
In allergic asthma "ghrit bhrashtr Haridra" controls eosinophils, practically I useses yoga of malla specially 'suvarn sameer pannag ras', and skin allergies rasmanikya is best medicine.
Dr. J. T. Contractor: I think body metabolism of individual defers,it accepts certain food, matches a particular atmosphere, skin too tolerates certain type of cloth,& rejects other types could b allergy! V find people taking 3-4 days old cooked food & digest well( beggars etc), but some people eat next day food falling sick or some times food poisoning! I think allergy has some thing to do with immunity! Stronger is the immunity lesser may b the after effects! It seems, a very thin line in between
Vd. Bhavesh Thakkar: Haridrakhand i hv found very useful in most of allergies. It can be combined with other drugs according to conditions. Haridra is dry, good for skin, good for prameha, blood disorders, swelling, anemia and wound.
Dr. Sujata Vaidya: Allergy sufferers have deep fear and low esteem issues.  Allergies have no known aetiology .... treatment is usually to overcome debility caused by the trigger.  It us essential to resolve psychological aversion for any medication to work long term. Allergies disappear just as allergies appear....
Dr. Sumita Jaiswal: I have a recent patient of chronic allergic kandu...as well as allergic rhinitis...was giving him oral medication like khadirarista, panchanimba, virechak etc...but symptoms were fluctuating....for sometimes he felt totally relieved but in few days...symptoms recurred...now I have referd him for panchakarma....done wid vamana n now vasti would b done....so I feel in chronic patients of allergy....proper sodhan karma is necessary 1stly...wats every1s perspective?
Dr. Pradip Mohan Sharma Jaipur: Vaman and virechan, both are tremendously result oriented
Dr. Sumita Jaiswal: Similarly there was a father daughter duo wid eosnophilia....father was treated successfully wid oral medications but d daughter aged 3 yrs is still treatment..  There is reddish pimples like rashes all over her body wid itching....frankly I feel scared to apply some of our medicines to such a small child....plz guide…
Dr. Pradip Mohan Sharma Jaipur: Medicines are not very effective in many cases but PK is brilliantly good
Dr. J. T. Contractor: Alum salt (fitakdi) de solved in water & skin be washed with this water without wiping skin b exposed to tender sun rays, ( no soap shampoo for long time), apply malkankni oil gently on skin, repeat till optimum results
USA Parulben: For child pl use curd+ backing soda will give u drametic result. 1/2 cup curd + 1 spoon backing soda. Bath with karan soap. Sorry! This is for local application not to eat. Curd and soda you can apply 3 times/ day.
Dr. Arun Tiwari: Dr. Sumita kandu is not allergic condition. Kandu is similar to scabies. I think you are talking about Sheetpitta, udard and koth these are similar to allergie. The treatment is very different in each. Tankan is more effective than alum But this is temporary lakshnik treatment.
Dr. J. T. Contractor: Curd be acidic on skin if possible avoid
Dr. Arun Tiwari: Only ruksh swedan controls  acute condition of allergy like sheetpitt. Eczema (vicharchika) is chronic condition of allergy.
USA Parulben: Well we can eat curd even though it is acidic and curd and rice is first healthy protein rich food for child. Curd and honey first healthy shampoo for new born.
Dr. Jinal Thakkar: In Sheeta pitta or udarda even paribhadra works good as local application…I had used paribhadra ghrita…Itching is curbed… And so are the thick red eruptions
Dr. Arun Tiwari: I agree with Dr Ajmera in children its good use of curd is soumya do not harm skin.
Baroda Arti parimal: Make a paste of shami or khejada leaves apply on affected  part leave it for 15 minutes take bath with Luke warm water. After bathing apply rose water , glycerin and karpoor. Vachellia nilotica =khejada
Germany Helga Fuchs: How is general food for this child? In India most of small childs eat same spicy food as parents and many react with problems. Parents have to understand that spicy food for childs is creating problems. No information here about this point? If this simple regular habit is in right direction, big treatments most time not needed. Rice and Curd, for me is to heavy in this condition. Maybe needed about age, but in actual condition to much. applikation ok, Takra, butter milk, is, as I have my experiences more easy.
Dr. Sumita Jaiswal: Have prescribed tankan to d child for local application bt wat abt oral med?  Kapha aggravation should b there...n also she is a child….Hmmm curd n soda combo is new for me...for sure will try on some patients ....thanks… Allergic kasa n swasa patients r very much affected by d house in which they r living ...one of my patients was relieved only after he changed his room which was more airy n spacious....so avoiding d nidan is very much necessary…..
Dr. Dipali Poshtiwala: For skin allergy jatayadi ghrut, chandraprabhavati no. 2 very useful…Agreed with psychological factors bz of that allergy more occurs
Shri Minoo parabia: In cases of severe urticaria use this as first aid. Apply fresh juice of Nagarvel leaves.  Piper betel is Nagarvel. Even for asthma swaskuthar given with nagarvel leaf yields good result.
Exi kir: When body reacts badly to some elements like dust, fragrances, fur etc. it is called allergy. Allergy causes caugh or cold or head ache or itching or scares on skin etc.
Spain Juan Carlo Carlos: allergy is caused for accumulatiom of ama in the body..it leads to a continuos hiper activity of the innmune system and an  over reaction to external toxins...under my experience drecreasig or cleanig excess  of ama inmediatly improves allegy syntoms
Mrugesh j. parikh advocate: Prarakbhai,  thanks for this topic.... I am suffering from allergy since last 5 years... It starts from the end of February and goes after Holi ...
Dr. Sheetal Sumra: Which allergy?
Dr. Priti Vikas Agrawal: I have a alleragy of dust n daily in morning after wake up  sneezing is started about 15 -20 times in one attack .. Allergy of artificial jewellary also ..any type of like bangles swelling in hand ..earings redness in ear .. Necklase itching n rashes on neck
Dilip Patel: That is due to nikle metal which is used to bring shine in poling process.
Dr. Priti Vikas Agrawal: But this type of allergy is happened only with me ..not with my sister n mother…They also wear this jewellary
Dilip Patel: This depends on person to person. Wear jewellery of silver or polised without nickle process
Spain Juan Carlo Carlos: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Perilla_frutescens.....i had a very good experience using this plant as infussion three times a day for skinn chemical products allergy
Mrugesh j. parikh advocate: I am having allergy of pollen... Sneezing 400 to 500 with running nose, severe irritation inside nose, cough,  burning corners of eyes,  unable to breath with nose... Etc...
Vd. Pankaj Chhayani: Allergy and hypersensitivity both are different terms..don't be confused as same term...
Dr. Prerak Shah: @Vd. Pankajbhai: Pl elaborate
Vd. Pankaj Chhayani: Hypersensitivity means exaggerated immune response... Allergy is a type of hypersensitivity... Actually real meaning of hypersensitivity is - any tissue damaging immune reaction..there are four types of hypersensitivity , first three are antibody mediated hypersensitivity and fourth is cell mediated hypersensitivity....hypersensitivity is broad term mainly include allergy and autoimmunity... Allergy is caused by hypersensitivity of immune system....allergen are always ……Foreign, while there are other types of hypersensitivity where allergns are not foreign..example for autoimmunity where self tissue become immunogenic and immune response become exaggerated  against immunogenic tissue, called autoimmune disease.. So this condition of autoimmunity is called type 2 hypersensitivity..
Pulastya Vora: The tuber of fresh ginger has moisture I.e. Aadrata from which it is known as Adrak while when it becomes dry  - the condition is called Sushkta from which term coined is Sunthi
Vd. Hardik bhatt: A body shows a reaction on a special substance is like allergy ...It may be due to low immunity….To react allergy we have to fight 3 ways .. 1. To protect 2. Improve immunity 3. Remove extra aamdosh or toxins which r already in body ... By panchkarm o by medicine or by diet regimen
Dr. Sheetal Sumra: One patient walked in @clinic, Age 54 yr Old, She complains of DOE, Wheezing sound. Dryness in nose..  Currently she is on steroids…Since 6yrs….She has allergy of pigeon……I have started her with snehan, swedan, Nasya, Yoga, In 3sitting wheezing sound has reduced…
IPR Chhayaben: My brother had dust allergy which was solved by eating fresh ginger regularly with salt n lemon
Dr. Nikhil Baxi: sheetapitta relieved by eating ginger.
Dr. Pulastya Vora: Allergy and inflammation are reactions of our body against harmful substances. So they are not diseases but warnings given by our body. It is known as Prati (against or anti) Urjata (energy) or Praturjata. By this warnings body tries to tell us two things (1) we are come across with something which is harmful or dangerous to our life. (2) our body is not yet prepared to accept the substance or situation or body is yet to find out the process to detoxify (shodhan) the substance before it does any harm. So consider that it is a God-gifted time or God-sent opportunity to adjust to situation or substance. It may happen that after sometime you may accommodate your self with situation or substance which today you are unable to cope up. So do not be anxious or depressed. Take the situation lightly and try to understand your body.
Dr. Rachana Mumbai: I have come across patients with allergy due to aam. My mother has allergy both skin and rhinitis….As my mother i know the reason of accumulation of aam the reason is she used to fast a lot and after 10 days of fasting or even 40days of fasting very next moment she used to have normal food and start with chapati ….Which is very very wrong .........And in such cases i feel,  shodhan and particularly vaman will be beneficial. Comments awaited
Bharat dave: I have a allergy of lemon(limbu) i can not take single drop of lemon…Vomit all the food after taken lemon please give me the advise what i have to do? I always avoid food with lemon and never think about lemon juce
Vd. Pankaj Chhayani: Allergy is an individual's sensitivity to an foreign substance that is usually harmless..when allergy cause tissue damage ,its called type 1 tissue damaging allergic hypersensitivity.. There are 4 types of hypersensitivity
There are two types of type 1 hypersensitivity.  1) localised type 1 hypersensitivity----allergic rhinitis, allergic conjunctivitis, allergic angio oedema, hay fever, skin- hives, food allergy   2) generalized type 1 hypersensitivityanaphylactic shock, urticaria, respiratory distress...
Diagnostic test for allergy:
1) skin prick test  2) RAST- radio allegro immuno sorbent test …… ATOPY:- familial tendency to make IGE more frequently against the common environmental substances which in most population is non reactive..in atopy, father mother son all are allergic to particular allergen.. …..THYMUS:- thymus plays important role in education of lymphocytes... Tolerance or intolerance of lymphocytes against various allergens depends on education of lymphocytes in thymus during childhood... Recent studies suggest that diverse populations of regulatory T cells play an important role in regulating T helper type 2 responses to allergen. Thymus is active during childhood...so various immune modulators regimens of ayurveda can play important role in developing good immunity during childhood..
Ayurveda concept of allergy:-
In Ayurveda allergy is described as Asatmaya(incompatible- increasing discomfort)... There are four types of asatmaya:   1. rutu(season) asatmaya: its generally observed that pts with rhinitis have maximum presentation of signs and symptoms in rainy and spring seasons......2⃣ Desha(country/habitat) asatmaya: though living in the same environment conditions, some people remains healthy while only few of them will be allergic to certain things..example for some people develop asthma/ acidity in coastal area while some remain healthy. Traveller diarrhoea is also example of this type..in treatment of acidity, Kashyapa has mentioned leaving of anupa (coastal) Desha as a ultimate option of treatment…..3⃣ Roga (disease)asatmaya: Sour and fermented items increase problem of urticaria. …4⃣ oaka(Naturally) asatmaya: its depend on prakriti of individual...cold is not comfortable for kapha prakriti...
VIRUDDHA AHARA(unwholesome diet) :
Viruddha ahara may give rise to many chemical reactions in our body, which can't be visualized. It may be affecting the cellular body built and its chemical constituents..
Management of allergy in ayurveda:
Prakruta kapha(physiological kapha) is considered as Bala(immunity), while vikruta kapha (pathological kapha) is considered as mala(cause of disease)- cha.su.17...while ojas is also play important role in built of immunity. This ojas is type of kapha(cha.sha.7) which manifest during embryological life and its responsible for innate immunity(sahaj bala)..so in ayurveda , to develop sahaj bala(innate immunity) one should focus on healthy conception.
To develop yuktikruta bala (acquired immunity) , one should focus on normal development of children. As childhood is stage of kapha, one should focus increase prakruta kapha by various regimens like exercise ,consuming. Chyavanprasha (बालानां च अंगवधँनानां-    promote normal development of child),suvarna prasha etc.. …..Still one suffer from allergy in adulthood, various kamya rasayana should be used as rasayana drugs are immuno modulator.
Hay fever-  Nasya, pippali
respiratory allergy- Chyavana prasha, Shirisha, triphala, vasa, bhallataka, Vacha, honey
allergy related to eye triphala
food allergy- vidanga, shunthi, pippali,kutaja.
skin allergy- bhring raja, tuvaraka, yastimadhu,Grapes,  daily abhyanaga...
- Dr.Pankaj (assistant professor)
Colombia Dr. Sandra Milena Galvis: excellent explanation . thanks…A modern explanation of the concept is syndrome permeability of the intestinal mucosa
Vd. Pankaj Chhayani: Day by day various types of immunization are increased..in Ayurveda ,research should be done on effects of immunization on immunity(specially allergy).. 1⃣In first group ,only ayurvedic immuno modulator such as chyavana prasha, suvarnaprasha, Brahma rasayana should be given to children……2⃣ in second group only various  modern immunization should be given…….3 in third group, both ayurveda and modern immunization should be given……Then effects on immunity(allergy related problems in childhood/ adulthood) in all three group should be checked……..Allergens are some one like poison in characteristic of ashukari.. There are some drugs which are vyavayi and have good effects of anti allergen. Maricha (piper nigrum)and vacha (calamus)are such type of drugs having very good effects against food and respiratory allergy...Shirish(albizzia lebbeck) is considered as Vishaghna dravya(anti poison) which is also very good in allergic respiratory problems..
Vd. Hardik J. Patel- MD: Haridrakhand avaleh in skin allergy and respiratory allergy
Colombia Dr. Sandra Milena Galvis: In Colombia we do not have permission to Ayurvedic medicines. All we handle it with food and some therapies. What do you think of intolencia gluten that is different from celiac disease? And his relationship with certain allergies
Vd. Pankaj Chhayani: The first characteristic of ama is Pichchhilata(sticky ness). Gluten is also derived from glu means stickyness. So indigestion of gluten leads production of ama which is sticky. Trikatu will be drug of choice in gluten sensitivity…….If there is Ayurveda medicine is not allowed,u can use in food too.
In India people , gluten is main contain in diet..but along with gluten containing articles, we use many spicy herbs in daily diet which are antagonist to gluten...
Dr. Ravindra Upadhyay: Use of. Roasted. Cuminseeds i e Jeera useful in. G I problems, it helps to overcome stickiness of the stool. removal of. Ama. should be consumed in. powder form.
Dr. Pulastya Vora: Continuing discussion on allergy; it is said that one man's medicine may be another's poison. For e.g. one can digest raw milk; one after boiling while another after adding dry ginger or pippalimool. So do not compare yourself with others. It is said that each and every patient is a separate textbook of medicine. So consider that how unique your body constituent is! Read your body as textbook of medicine or develop a separate area in brain as AID- Allergy Investigation Department and aid your body to find out what pitches you as allergen. As soon as you get a clue discuss with your doctor.
Vd. Pulkit D. Patel: in ayurveda there are some contents …..shitapitta (urticaria)….udarda(giant urticaria)……kotha(roseola)……have same lakshana as like allergy…..in ayurveda aama is responsible for this deases……. dhatvagnimandhya is responsible for aama formation .have purvaroopa like:-pipasa, aruchi, dehasada, anga gaurava, rakta lochanta,  roopa like: varti dansata sansthana, shotha, kandu, chardi, vidah, jwara
Vd Pranjlin Kavar: My daughter was having a severe allergic reaction to milk and all types of milk products by birth. She get cure by powder of dry date and air roots of ficus religiosa ( pipado in Gujarati).
Germany Rabia: A 4 months old daughter of friend of mine has very bad rashes on stomach, face, lower abdominal. It should be allergic??What it can be.. Mother is not eating pitta inducing food anymore
Usa Vaduvur S. Narayan: Allergies to pigeons is well documented in allopathic medical literature.  Treatment is not very effective
Vd. Pankaj Chhayani: Most common genetic defect is lactase deficiency..so many people living with lactase deficiency, mill is not suitable for them, on consuming milk they get abdominal cramps, bloating, and diarrhoea, in ayurveda we called it Mrudu Koshtha...its known as milk allergy (actually its genetic defect)in lay man term... In this case boiling milk should be given with ginger...People living with pigeons should take nasya daily..and consume Chyavanprasha to boost immunity
Dr. Kumar S. K. : In any type of allergy related to poisonous or non poisonous immediate remedy is 1betel leaf+1tsf of pepper+1tsf of crystal salt, crush all these and give orally 1 pinch every 10 min..we have tried in many animal species and pts.

Next topic for discussion:  :  Uses of  Ginger (aardrak and sunthi) according to #ayurveda
Vd. Ram Shukla: Sunthi is vishvabhesaj not ginger…..Properties of ginger and sunthi are more than opposite to each other
Dr Dipak Shirude: Please shed some more light on these opposite properties of ginger and shunthi ... I was aware  only about opposite properties of takra and dadhi
Vd. Ram Shukla: Sunthi is madhur vipak, grahi…..Whereas ginger is katu vipak and sar guna…….Sunthi can be given in diarrhoea, but ginger may may increase diarrhoea due to its sar property……..The common thing is both are agni dipak
Bhuj Dr Jigar Gor: It's been said that while making tea one should add shunthi and not ginger... I guess due to their properties only. If request senior Vaidya to throw light on it
Dr Dipak Shirude: What can be stated about there action on doshas ?
Vd. Ram Shukla: Sunthi is mainly ruchi kar and indicated in amavata and likewise condition…. Having said this I prefer tea with ginger because of its taste.
Dr Dipak Shirude: I expect exact action of them regarding 3doshas ..Please share ..It is must to fix the matter .. If they are opposite, is one vaatshamak and another vaatvardhak ?
Vd. Ram Shukla: No. Not opposite in all aspects
Dr. Chirag Dobariya: Sunthi is snigdha and ginger is ruksha properties -Bhavprakash
Germany Helga Fuchs: .... Ohhhh, please help. Here we have the knowlege that Shunti is fresh Ginger. Ginger is curna, powder oft dry Shunti. Is this the right understanding? Thank you
Shri Minoo parabia: No Helga. Fresh tubers taken out of soil and sold before drying them are Aadu, Adrakh (ardrak in Sanskrit)…After drying it is named as Sunth or Sunthi. In English both are ginger…..Dried ginger could be powdered easily. ….In india almost all our curries and Pulses contain fresh ginger we call Aadu.  In curries it tastes great.
Germany Helga Fuchs: Good that I do not work only due names. Dry or fresh. I always remember that powder is rukhsa. Thank you to clear out this wrong understanding oft many years in one second. I am happy
Dr. Chirag Dobariya: Sunthi(Dry ginger) is laghu, snigdha and Ginger is guru, ruksha properties. sunthi is pachak and ginger is dipan karma. Sunthi is grahi and vibandhnut both karma done because of it's Prabhav(प्रभाव).
Dr. Arun Tiwari: विबन्धनुत
Dr. Hardikchandra Kalal: Grahi mean well consist not more liquid or hardll…Vibandhnut mean remove the constipation ll…..
Dr Dipak Shirude: Grahi = improves absorption in large intestine
Sandipbhai Aum Agri : Sunthi(dry ginger) is prepared from fresh ginger dipped in sulphur + sundries. Dipping is for fast drying ……So always used fresh ginger dried slices . Without sulphur  and convert into powder
Canada Nitin Shah: I believe Sunthi( dry ginger) should be more tikshna as it don't have water element. Water element reduces tikshanata(sharpness) where as adrak (fresh ginger) should be less tikshana due to high amount of water elements. That's why I believe Sunthi should be used exclusively for high Kapha conditions only where adrak juice (fresh ginger) can be used in moderation in excess vata and pitta condition.
Dr Dipak Shirude: This looks logical but above stated qualities go some other way !
Canada Nitin Shah: That's what I am wondering. And that's why we need Tadvidya sambhasha……. We need rationality
Germany Helga Fuchs: Sorry, up I mean powder is tiksha. More sharp as fresh ginger………Yes Nitin Shah, this was in my mind.
Vd. Pankaj Chhayani: GINGER……………Ginger (Zingiber officinale) is a member of the Zingiberaceae family and is consumed widely not only as a spice but also as a medicinal agent (see also Chapter 7 on ginger). Other members of the family include turmeric and cardamom. Ginger’s cultivation appears to have begun in South Asia and has now spread to various parts of the world. It is sometimes called “root ginger” to distinguish it from other products that share the name. The principal constituents of ginger include [6]-gingerol, [6]-paradol, [6]-shogaol (dehydration gingerols), and zingerone. Several studies have investigated ginger’s antioxidant properties (Chrubasik, Pittler, and Roufogalis 2005). Gingerol has also been shown to decrease intracellular ROS formation in human keratinocyte cells (Kim et al. 2007), inhibit angiogenesis in human ECs, and limit nitrogen oxide synthase expression and epidermal growth factor-induced cell transformation and AP-1 transcriptional complexes in JB6 cells (Bode et al. 2001; Ippoushi et al. 2003; Davies et al. 2005; Kim et al. 2005).
Feeding NIN/Wistar rats a diet containing up to 0.5-5% ginger for 1 month significantly increased (p < .05) several liver antioxidant enzymes, including superoxide dismutase (76–141%), catalase (37–94%), and GPx (11–30%; Kota, Krishna, and Polasa 2008). Lipid and protein oxidation was inhibited in rats consuming ginger, as evidenced by significant decreases (p < .05) in liver and kidney levels of MDA (35-59% and 27-59%, respectively) and carbonyl levels (23-36%), compared to controls (Kota, Krishna, and Polasa 2008). Ippoushi et al. (2007) found that AIN-76 basal diets with 2% ginger decreased TBARS by 29% (p < .05) and suppressed 8-hydroxy-2′-deoxyguanosine (8-OHdG, a product of oxidative DNA damage) levels in Wistar rats. TBARS was also significantly decreased (p < .001) in Wistar rats fed with diets supplemented with 1% ginger following exposure to lindane, a pesticide that is a global pollutant, (Ahmed et al. 2008).
Various animal models have been used to examine the role of ginger in cancer prevention. For example, Ihlaseh et al. (2006) exposed male Wistar rats to N-butyl-N-(4-hydroxybutyl)-nitrosamine (BNN) and uracil salt to induce tumors resembling human low-grade papillary urothelial neoplasia. Rats fed with a basal diet supplemented with 1% ginger extract for 26 weeks had significantly fewer urothelial lesions compared to the controls or those fed with the diet with 0.5% ginger (p = .013; Ihlaseh et al. 2006). However, ginger does not appear effective in all cases, as evidenced by the lack of protection against proliferative lesions in the bladders of Swiss mice fed with a 1% or 2% extract and exposed to BNN/N-methyl-N-nitrosourea (Bidinotto et al. 2006).
Induction of phase I and II activities may partially account for ginger’s anticarcinogenic actions. Banerjee et al. (1994)found that providing 10-μL ginger oil daily for 2 weeks to Swiss mice increased aryl hydrocarbon hydroxylase activity about 25% (p < .05) and increased GST by 60% (p < .01). No significant increase in GST induction was observed in Swiss mice fed with 160 mg ginger/gram diet (Aruna and Sivaramakrishnan 1990).
Inflammation is a significant risk factor for cancer, including prostate cancer. Mitogen-activated protein kinase phosphatase-5 (MKP5) is implicated as a proinflammatory inhibitor in innate and adaptive immune response in vivo (Zhang et al. 2004). Providing [6]-gingerol upregulated MKP5 expression in normal prostate epithelial cells treated with 50 μM gingerol; likewise, it upregulated MKP5 expression in human prostate cancer cell lines (DU145, PC-3, LNCaP and LAPC-4; Nonn, Duong, and Peehl 2007). Ginger extracts, more so than their individual components, have been shown to inhibit lipopolysaccharide-induced prostaglandin E2 (PGE2) production to an extent similar to that of indomethacin, a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug. Subfractions of ginger extract decreased LPS-induced COX-2 mRNA expression levels, although apparently not through the nuclear factor κB (NF-κβ) or activating protein 1 (AP-1) transcription factor pathways, because the ginger extracts did not inhibit TNF-α production (Lantz et al. 2007). [6]-paradol, another active compound in ginger, is reported to induce apoptosis in human promyelocytic leukemia cells, JB6 cells, an oral squamous carcinoma cell line, and Jurkat human T-cell leukemia cells in a dosedependent manner (Huang, Ma, and Dong 1996; Lee and Surh 1998; Keum et al. 2002; Miyoshi et al. 2003). It is unclear whether [6]-paradol has molecular targets similar to [6]-gingerol.
Ginger also appears to have antitumorigenic properties. Several cell lines have been examined for their sensitivity to ginger. For example, alcoholic extracts of ginger inhibited tumor cell growth for Dalton’s lymphocytic ascites tumor cells and human lymphocytes at concentrations of 0.2-1 mg/mL in vitro (Unnikrishnan and Kuttan 1988). In a study of cytotoxic activities of several compounds in ginger against four tumor cell lines (A549, human lung cancer; SK-OV-3, human ovarian cancer; SK-MEL-2, human skin cancer; and HCT-15, human colon cancer), [6]-shogaol was the most potent (ED50: 1.05–1.76 μg/mL), and [4]-, [6]-, [8]-, and [10]-gingerol displayed moderate cytotoxicity (ED50: 4.92-30.05; Kim et al. 2008). Adding [6]-gingerol (25 μM) has been reported to inhibit proliferation in rat ascites hepatoma cells AH109A and increase apoptosis at higher concentrations (50 μM; Yagihashi, Miura, and Yagasaki 2008). Likewise, adding [6]-shogoal (60 μM) to COLO295 cells has been reported to increase the expression of GADD153, a gene that promotes apoptosis (Chen et al. 2007). [6]-shogaol (>50 μM) also provokes DNA damage and apoptosis through an oxidative stressmediated caspase-dependent pathway (Chen et al. 2007). Similarly, incubation of HEp-2 cells with ginger (250 μg/mL, 500 μg/mL, or 1000 μg/mL) resulted in a dose-dependent decrease in nitrite generation, increased production of superoxide, and decreased GSH levels compared to untreated cells, indicating ginger-induced apoptosis through the generation of ROS (Chen et al. 2007).
Ginger is also recognized for its potential usefulness to reduce nausea. To determine whether ginger had antiemetic effects in cisplatin-induced emesis, Manusirivithaya et al. (2004) conducted a randomized, double-blinded, crossover study in 48 gynecologic cancer patients. The addition of ginger (1 g/day) to a standard antiemetic regimen has no advantage in reducing nausea or vomiting in the acute phase of cisplatin-induced emesis. In the delayed phase, ginger and metoclopramide have no statistically significant difference in efficacy (Manusirivithaya et al. 2004). In another study, 1000 mg of ginger was compared to 20-mg intravenous (IV) metoclopramide, and to 4-mg IV ondansetron in controlling nausea in patients receiving cyclophosphamide chemotherapy. Ginger was determined to be as effective as metoclopramide, but neither was as effective as ondansetron (Sontakke, Thawani, and Naik 2003).
Overall, while the anticancer findings of ginger are intriguing and several processes may be associated with the observed responses, additional studies are needed to clarify the underlying mechanisms and to determine overall benefits to humans (Pan et al. 2008).
Anand Javeri: A doctor once told me that daily ginger intake improved appetite & digestion. And it should be taken with white rock salt for taste. One small piece of the size of a big marble can be taken for this. (fresh ginger). Ginger is also helpful in cough problem.
USA Dinesh Pandya: Very true. ....by improving Agni
Vd.Atul Ambadkar: Only Sunthi+ shatava(sauf) contented kashay--Used for Agni Deepan. In agnimandya…prakshep of Lavan Bhaskar churn/ hngwashtak churn….As pachan…. For sutika(delivery undergone woman)…..Shunthi+khand sharkara+ goghrut prepared gutika:-(Freshly prepared), To avoid post-partum  vat prakopa.
USA Parulben: I want to share some negative……Long time uses of sunthi or ginger can make your eye red, reduce memory…….As it increases acidity or imbalances alohhak pita…..And so does bodhak kapha….Alochak pitta…..Please avoid Google copy paste  and share practical knowledge to utilize this platform as tadvidambhasha. As everyone has excess to Google.
Shri Minoo parabia: I appreciate this. It is exceedingly important to learn about the limitations than to learn only about virtues.
Anand Javeri: Ginger relieves nausea also.
Vd. Milan Prajapati: Ginger is described as a aaharyogi substance in charak sutrasthan…….That means when digestion of aausadh is not possible due to excessive mandagni  and when we wants dipan karma in the patient……..We should implement ginger as a aahar to establish dipan karma in place of aausadh…..Such type of patients having seen………When patient was on chemotherapy treatment….And patient has complain of less intake, loss of appetite, nausea.
Germany Helga Fuchs: Ginger, Salt and lemon to increase agni, juice of ginger with honey for dry cough, very  usefull also in dry cough who stay for weeks and after pneumonia to  strenght the lungs. Nausea only little ginger or like point one, slice of ginger after intake ghee for PK. Totally agree with  for Pitta no ginger. It was said that ginger is OK for Pitta because it is not so sharp, about including sweet rasa, more slimy quality. But in regular taking, also as lukewarm, not hot gingerwater, no way for Pitta. Hot wather with ginger, gingertea, is only usefull as medicin in clear less dosis, not as regular habit to drink it all day, literwise. Even when the ginger sogaola a 6-element proves to be more effective than the doses when given tekasolanam. Vaijnanikoe noted that the effect of 6-sogaolani tekasola than 10 hajaragani.
