Vd. Vidhi M. Shukla: In shitpitta to relieve itching what can be used ?? Which ayu. formulations can relieve itching immediately ??

Vd. Sachin Kadlag: In winter or monsoon mustard oil alone or with coconut oil externally for complaints started at home . marichyadi taila  is to be given if patient comes in clinic. sometimes if kandu is with daha nimba taila is to be added.

Ayulink: For chronic condition Virechan karma is the best

Vd. Sachin Kadlag: but in shitapitta longterm management is also necessary . For that 2 principles as usual  1. shodhan 2. shamana

Ayulink: We all are doctors, so no need to go for theory. We should share here practical solutions.

Local application of paste made from marich + spinach is very fast and effective

Does any one have photo from any patient?

Tab. Urtiplex from charak pharma is giving good results

Vd. Sachin Kadlag: Allerkhand churna from Sitaram Ayurveda Pharmacy internally in dose of 250 mg  three times a day

Ayulink: Is it like Haridra khand? Haridra khand is well known for allergies and shitpitta.

Dr. Vikas Sharma Punjab: Application of sura (alcohol) on affected area also give result with in few mins

 Ayulink: Sura? any kind of asava? or alcohol?

Ayulink: I have heard abt application of ash of cow dung also works faster on urticaria

Vd.mohit Lodha: I think sadhya vaman is imp for samprapti bhedan....

Vd.mohit Lodha: eatable Soda  water application works like magic for application

Ayulink: Basically I prefer to go with panchkarma - virechan karma in chronic conditions

Vd.mohit Lodha: I think their must be proper guide line to differentiate between sheetpitta    udard  and koth

Ayulink: For just asymptomatic treatment - Tab Urtiplex , Tab Purim and Tab Neemol - combination is sufficient

Vd. Vidhi M. Shukla: Internally marich with ghee also gives instant relief.

Ayulink: Next month - in bhadrapad this conditions will worsen ...more pt will come forward

Vd. Sachin Kadlag: Shitapitta is more vataja , hence more increases in monsiin while  udarda is more  kaphaja and seen mostly in winter

 Ayulink: I have seen mostly young people, more sensitive nature, more pitta body type, with more anger having more complains of shitptta

Vd. Sachin Kadlag: In kotha , thete is history of amlapitta .

Ayulink: May be diet and stress or anger is main reson or may be irregular life style or eating at late night

Vd. Sachin Kadlag: Laghumanjishthadi kwatha works good in such patients

Ayulink: I can say that mostly I have seen young female patients more having Urticaria

Dr. Arvind Shahane: I have seen pt shitpitta after eat meat of sheep very coman in lower class pt

Vd.mohit Lodha: I think kapha and rakta duahti is more imp to sort...

Ayulink: Dr. Vikas Ji, You are frm Punjab. Its not hot region. Do u still get many patient fro, Shitpitta?

Vd.mohit Lodha: And laghusuth shekhar ras play imp role in chronic cases

Ayulink: Does the location plays any major role? Gujarat is very hot in summer and it increases the condition

Vd. Sachin Kadlag: only hot climate  is not responsible , but there is humidity with heat

 Vd. Ajay Pithiya: Aggravation time of this disease is generally in early morning or evening..

Ayulink: Does it mean that now in rainy season, we can expect more cases?

Vd. Sachin Kadlag: yes

Ayulink: uusally patients are not ready for diet restriction...in such conditon how you tackle the patient? Mostly I ask not to take curd / yogurt and tomatoes or all sour fruits. If patient is not ready for diet control, do we get long term relief by medicine

Vd. Sachin Kadlag: specially "bhaji " i.e, pakode  in hindi here is favourite in Maharashtra in monsoon , but I advise them to take at home and to be made from Mudga

Ayulink: and for how long we can continue medicines?

Croatia Branko Markovic: Usually here onion, garlic, eggplant are prohibited along with spicy food which is not so easy in India..

Vd. Sachin Kadlag: minimum 1 and half months , maximum threemonths

Vd. Ajay Pithiya: When no direct heat or sun is present.. Again in local tradition fresh hot ash is applied when the patches occured. That means heat or hot climate only is not aggravating factor

Ayulink: we do ask for the same

Vd. Sachin Kadlag: if then also recurrence than either vaman , virechan or raktamokshana according to patient and season.

Ayulink: I have seen many pt, having ayu medicines for months and years. Yes, after years of medi, when they get tired, they come to me for panchkarma. can any one share more details about shitpitta- udard and koth?

Croatia Branko Markovic: Kashaya from Neem and haridra is good option as home remedy.

Ayulink: We have fresh neem available all over India.....internal and as well external application is very effective....but the practical question is, patients do not like it.

Dr. Arvind Shahane:Like this situation try yashad bhasm oral and local application morthuthu bhasm

Vd. Sachin Kadlag: In shamana yoga I have also used with better results Amruta Rajanyadi Kashsyam of CNS , 15 ml twice or thrice. per day

Ayulink: doses please and any side effects? or complications?

Dr. Nahida Tarannum: Ya ...I too have seen this in some patients ...in some patients some kind of foods trigger the allergens aggravating the condition ...esp meal meat fish and even I have seen angiedema with urticaria...in  some after consuming muskmelon

Dr. Dipa Mehta: Gud and ajmo is also beneficial for shitpitt

Ayulink: ajmo = ajwain seeds Gud = jaggery

Dr. Dipa Mehta: Yes

Vd. Manhar Prajapati: In this type of case i gave swarjika kshar oral and local application

Vd. Manhar Prajapati: Tulsi leaves juice apply also help

Vd. Hardik bhatt: Haridrakhand avaleha is very useful for shitpitta. Gomay bhasm is also very useful for local application with water .

Vd. Manhar Prajapati: Sarasap oil with saindhav lavan application also works

Vd. Hardik bhatt: Raktmokshan is also advisable for shitpitta.

Ayulink: Any role of raktamokshan?

Dr. Arvind Shahane: No I have not seen any side effects. 5 gm for 15 days in two divided doses with other medicine. Like shatpatryadi churn or yastimadhu

Ayulink: Thnx. I was thinking in the same line

Dr Jayesh Patel: Lodhra chrn apply as local give instant result

Vd. Manhar Prajapati: Raktmokshan at that place ?

Vd. Hardik bhatt: Blood letting removes toxins from the body directly.

Vd. Sachin Kadlag: Tablet Gandhak rasayana in dose of 2 bd or 1 tds helpful as symptomatic relief.

Vd. Hardik bhatt: Raktmokshan from elbow joint veins

Ayulink: can Gandhak rasayan produce side effects?

Croatia Branko Markovic: Guduchi rasayana up to 12 capsules per day should be followed for 1 month along with kaishora g. even up to 5 tid in acute or chronic cases.

Dr. Nahida Tarannum: Haridrakhand and neem capsules ..if the patient is having amlapitta ..that shud be dealt with  simultaneously ...

Vd. Sachin Kadlag: not came across , but not be given for longer period  , for symptomatic relief hence for maximum 7 days

Vd. Hardik bhatt: Diet control is also advisable like to avoid curd, banana, meda, fermented items,. Less salt .

Ayulink: Kaishor Guggulu - 5 tab, tid?  That is really high dose

Croatia Branko Markovic: It is but in chronic cases it is proven that people don’t have any side effect so far..it all rasayana herbs so it can go high

Ayulink: wow. thnx for shring practical tips

Vd. Sachin Kadlag: kaishore guggul not advisable  in high doses , even 3 tablets at a time is too much high ... it will result in more  rakta dushti soecially in pitta prakruti type patient ... may result into vidradhi /abscess ..... so be careful

Vd Anirudhdha Mohite: Raktamokshana by Siraveda gives instant relief from kandu in case of shittapitta and kotha

Vd. Hardik bhatt: In village area I advise pt .. to apply gomay bhasma with water .

Vd Anirudhdha Mohite: Kandu in such cases is due to avrodhatmak samprapti of pitta

Ayulink: where exactly you do jalouka?

Ayulink: at the site of shitpitta? or nearby?

Vd Anirudhdha Mohite: I prefer siraveda at cubital region

Croatia Branko Markovic: It should be started by 2 tid and then slowly go up with control of patient..

Ayulink: I think here is the diff of quality of medicine

Dr. Arvind Shahane: I have seen in one pt result with local application of arnopen liniment of Phyto pharma

Ayulink: that is new to know! Arnopen is a pain killer liniment. It is wonder, if it works on Urticaria. For me Tab Urtiplex is enough, but it is very costly

Vd. Manhar Prajapati: Shitpitbhanjan ras is cheaper than urtiplex

Dr. Arvind Shahane: It is my practical experience

Ayulink: a combination of Kali Jeeri (very bitter cumin) and sodium bicarbonate - 1 tsf 2 times also works very fast in chronic  condition which company?

Vd. Hardik bhatt: Nice ... Arnopen for urticaria..

Vd. Manhar Prajapati: I think vyas pharma. Anyone try classical virechan ?

Ayulink: Have you seen any chronic patient of Shitpitta suffering since more then 10 years

Vd. Hardik bhatt: I have not seen

Vd. Sachin Kadlag: Sometimes the patient has history fever (jwara) , not treated properly or not taken proper rest and diet , then   fever goes but after somr days rash comes with itching , in those patients I have used decoction of  bhunimba , amruta , kutaki , musta and parpataka , it gives good results.

Ayulink: Is it hereditary condition?

Vd. Manhar Prajapati: 2yrs sudhina to joya 6

Vd. Hardik bhatt: Any role of krumi .?? In urticaria

Ayulink: I have treated cases with 5 years or more duration...with classical virechan karma

Vd. Sachin Kadlag: but palatabilty is problem , sometimes it results in vomiting  , but then also patient gets better because of sadya shodhana.

Ayulink: jirakadi ghrut as abhyantar snehan and with kutaki as main ingredient in virechan yog

Vd. Sachin Kadlag: if its well digested , then in mrudu koshtha , it induces mrudu virechan

Ayulink: these are not commonly used formulations

Vd. Hardik bhatta: Any role of Aarogyavardhini Ras .??

Vd. Sachin Kadlag: yes , kutaki is choice of drug where virechan is expected ,  and aarogyavardhini in smsll dode 125 mg bd for shamana

Croatia Branko Markovic: Can we give only kutki?

Ayulink: yes, for shaman chikitsa, you can

Vd. Sachin Kadlag: yes , but in proper dose , in more dose it will induce pain in abdomen. for shamana u 150 to 250 mg per day

Vd. Manhar Prajapati: Urticaria pit tikshna guna losses their role so tikshna drug works better evan mari powder apply also works
