Understanding of Pituitary gland / Agna chakra for
treatment aspect
Gary Yuen: I've been studying the immune system
and antiviral foods and herbs. All foods have an effect on the immune system
and likely The pituitary gland. I don't know specifics but mstbe someone can
help explain how it relates to the rest of the body and other organs.
What
I've found thst improves immune function. Every food. Gut bacteria. So maybe
that explains gavedukha and dal as having some antiviral function. Numerous
foods: relatives of terminalia and phyllanthus, various vegetables, flowers,
roots, barks like ficus religious, prunus, many hundreds of foods show an
effect on the strongest viruses and someday it may be possible to treat all
viruses. Who regularly consumes haritaki and all classical foods and herbs.
Thst would be the way to have the strongest immune system. Guduchi alone is not
enough. Is it possible to find answers by looking at the many hundreds of foods
and herbs that show anti-HIV activity and work backwards?
Ayulink Ayurveda: Shirodhara is most common treatment
approach for many psychosomatic condition, which is said that it affects the
pituitary gland. By controlling or correcting pituitary functions, one can
treat several disorders.

Gary Yuen: there are studies confirming
lymphatic drainage of the brain. recommendations for self shiro abhyanga? is
this done daily as part of self massage?
Croatia Branko Markovic: Pranayam like Nadhi shodan will help
in functions of pituitary. Gotu kola is very good also. Being in oneself
(conscious of thoughts, movements etc) will automatically trigger gland to
function in more spiritual way, opening new experiences and perceptions.
Vd. Dhruti Kagrana: The Ajna Chakra controls and
energizes the pituitary gland, the endocrine glands and the brain to a certain
extent. The eye and ear are energized by
the Ajna Chakra. The Ajna Chakra influences the basic chakra or Mooladhara
Chakra and is thus also responsible for the health of your skin.
Vd. Hardik bhatt: MEDICINE given by nose either oil
based or water based directly effect on the pituatary gland. and controls the disease..
Vd Jigar Narsana: Some corelate the work of pituitary
gland with karya of pran and udan vayu
Gary Yuen: Being in oneself. starting to look at Greek concepts of
health. Goddess was hugeia, hygiene. The self was also psyche cosmos, atman
Brahman, balance was isonomia (isonomics, nomos, manmade law like economics),
... mind is primary but perhaps inseparable from any part of the body.
Dr. Pritam Veer: Sixth Chakra (Ajna) Correspondences
Key
phrases: Intuition, meditative and self-awareness, mental and emotional
clarity, truth; combines knowing, acting, and feeling; balances and integrates
“masculine” and “feminine” qualities. Physical location: The point between the
eyebrows, center of forehead. Endocrine gland: Pituitary or pineal gland
(light-sensitive; regulates sleeping and waking). Astrological link: Saturn, Day
of the week: Saturday , Element: mahat, the essence of all other elements, Sense:
Intuition, Sanskrit Derivation: ajna (order, command), Massage: Forehead, ears,
sides of head between eyes and ears. Also, the third eye chakra is often called
the dwelling place of the meditative faculty. It embodies the mantra hamsa,
which is Sanskrit for “swan,” a revered bird that is said to be able to
distinguish truth from untruth as it flies to places that ordinary people
cannot reach. Just as no one can see electricity or microwaves, or just as a
dog or deer can hear many sounds that no human ear can hear, the subtle
internal hum of this mantra goes unheard by the many who live mostly in their
lower chakras. But a master of this ajna chakra center who practices right
livelihood can go beyond the limits of logical thought. By meditating on the
sixth chakra and opening the third eye and mind to the universal qualities of
the web of life that links all beings, a person stands on the threshold of the
portal of divine oneness where he or she can become a paramahamsa—one who
dwells in supreme consciousness.
Shirodhara-
This is a simple, yet profound treatment that works specifically on balancing
and stabilizing the activity of the mind. Warm, herbal oil is continuously
streamed over the Ajna Chakra or Third Eye, taking the participant on a journey
deep within. We all know the benefits of Shirodhara
Croatia Branko Markovic: In one marga they say if we meditate
on the ajna and we are able to open it, then all lower chakras will be open
Dr. Vikas Sharma Punjab: Pituitary gland act like a vacuum
cleaner that clean the strotas of shiro sthan. As we see when strotas of
mastishk avrudh with dosha normal functioning disturb.
