Ayulink Ayurveda: Usually we Ayurveda people believe that Monsoon is a season with Mandagni and food must be controlled in this season. Most religion has accepted the concept of fasting in this season.

Vd. Dhruti Kagrana: Steamed and well-cooked food  are very good for health during the rainy season.
Ayulink Ayurveda: yes, steamed food, hot water is aama controlling

Ayulink Ayurveda: Sunthi is the same, aama controlling and increasing agni. Monsoon brings mandagni...so all digestive disorders are on high in these days.
Ayucafe 03201979: In this season dieating is as per religious it's called shaakha vratha where all types of vegetables nd pules not taken for a month.. Only shunti jeera mango seed powder butter milk are used. Dairy and outside foods should be avoided
Ayulink Ayurveda: Heartburn , acidity, indigestion, burping, flatulence, constipation, colitis, muco-colitis, IBD, IBS - all kind of GI disorders have high chances of aggravation. India is a vast country. We have very different diet traditions in all corner . Yes. Less food and easily digestible food is good

Ayulink Ayurveda: Basically rainy season aggravates Vata - so Vata controlling diet is good
Dr. Bhavin Chavda: Even charak has told that. Sneha is good for Agni deepana so Gujarati people make bhajiya ( potato chips covered with horse gram Powder and fried in oil.).  Oily thing must be happily accepted in this season . Right?
Ayulink Ayurveda: Yes, several ayurveda doctors recommand deep fried pakora in rainy season - particularly Dalvada made of udad dal

Vd. Dhruti Kagrana: Yes. Ghee made from cow’s milk is very good during this season as it helps digestion.

Ayulink Ayurveda: Dalvada recipe is having udad dal, spices, garlic, chilli and onion.....so good for Vata control - BUT agni factor is also very important.
 Yes, that is imp to understand....According to agni, one can eat deep fried food. Not good for all. ginger water, methi, garlic are good to consume.

Ayulink Ayurveda: Corn is vata aggravating, so be careful
Dr. Dhanwantri Tyagi: Avoid direct airflow of cooler, maintain ac on monsoon mode, do not use cold/chilled drinks after exercise/immediately when sweating.  Avoid use of heavy foods, consume fresh water, fresh food. Use trikatu in food/drinks. Avoid milk muth fruits/ milk at morning/ milk with salty foods.
Dr. Rishabh Singh: Haritaki swras is very beneficial during rainy season.

36077: Avoid milk ... Which is strictly prohibited in shravan ritu. As u can't stop to milk a cow so there is tradition to fetch a milk to lord Shiva. As lord Shiva has drunk poison for the sake of world. Thou need to honor with milk ... So as per Indian tradition n milk is avoided 👌

Vd. Manhar Prajapati: Its pitsanchay kal so beware to use katu amla and lavan ras...extra spicy salty

Vd. Manhar Prajapati: It’s time for agnimandhy janit rog so easy to digest light food are applicable
Dr. Dhanwantri Tyagi: Another custom- the milk should be kept in earthen pot with half amount of water added. Let it boil on very slow flame for at least 5 hours. One should consume this milk at night during rainy season.

Vd. Manhar Prajapati: Milk should cow’s milk.
Vd. Dhruti Kagrana: Gujrati tradition of Ajwain bhajiya (pakora) is good when raining
Dr. Dhanwantri Tyagi: In North india, villagers used Buffalo and cow’s milk. Sometimes mixed. This was centuries tradition which lost in urbanization.
Ayulink Ayurveda: Methi ladu is also known in Gujarat during this season. vegetable made from besan + saragavo (sahinjana) fruits are very popular in Gujarat during this season
Vd. Manhar Prajapati: Yatha pinde tatha bhramande so rainy season vat aggravate on earth as well as body so best vat shamak is oil so oliiy food pakoda bhajiya dalwada demanded.

45969: Onion bhajiya.  Very famous. Onion- vat anulomak  N bhajiya wen being eaten fresh increase Agni. Madhur, sheet, strictly must avoid

Ayulink Ayurveda: Herbal tea- Kahva - kavo (a recipe from Girnar Tea co) available in the market , which is really effective in rainy season to prevent cold, cough, respiratory problems, mandagni etc.
