Kagrana: The gastrointestinal tract is
sensitive to emotion. Anger, anxiety, sadness, elation — all of these feelings
(and others) can trigger symptoms in the gut. The brain has a direct effect on
the stomach and intestines. For example, the very thought of eating can release
the stomach's juices before food gets there.
Dr. Mario Herrera: There is a bidirectional flow of
neuroendocrine information between the brain and the gut. Aproximately 90% of
serotonine in produce in the gut. In consecuence an alteration of gut flora can
be found related to alteration of mood disorders Aay Stu Santoki Raj Batukbhai
Santoki Raj: Due to swingness of the mood digestion of the
food can't be proplery. due to indigestion rasa seshajirna formed and rasa dhatu
can't form in proper way later rakta-mamsa-meda-etc can't form in proper way so
sara dhatu can't being in proper way so they will effect on disease
Dr. Smita Kosare: Darshan, Sparshan of food requires presence
of mind in the indriyas for knowing the food- as a subject. Wherever mind has
its presence-it has its Guna- satwa, raja and tamo acting on the subject
matter. Emotions are an orchestra of these 3 mind guans. With this
understanding I think anything that’s consumed has ability to influence the
digestive system.
Dr. Dipesh Thacker: Influence of GIT is very clear on our mood. If GIT is proper, mood will be very good. If it is disturbed, mood will not be good. But, there is huge influence of Mind ( मन) on GIT When it is in Kshobh, means sadness, depression Agnimandhya occurs. That leads to many other conditions. Similarly Bhaya or Shok, or Kshobh give rise to ATISAAR too. Even IBS / IBD has too much significance of Psyche.
Dr. Jigar Narsana: Also in sadvrut prakarana (ch.su.8/20) acharya stated that one should not eat with stressed or depressed mind (full of negative emotions ) Also further in the chapter they said that there is also importance of who made the food... how food will be digested is also depends on emotions of cook too. Our ancestors first take bath , poojan/ reciting mantras before eating food for balancing the emotions Arochak , ashradhdha word given in samhitas which can describes improper emotions and formation of aam dosh.

undergoes Madhur avastha , and kapha increases in our body, leads to lethargy

Sing: Yes, After completion of digestion
when all carbohydrates fat gets digested their waste shed off from blood mind
became sharp active , whole cycle takes about 45 minutes to 2 hours. Due to
formation of alcohol after fermentation of cereals mind became dull for some
time Lesser the grains n cereals in food higher the mind active
Aparna Deshpande: Not following your sentence- "Due to formation of alcohol after fermentation of cereal..." please help me understand this Right, so with this brain-gut axis ( two way street, bridge)
1.do you think psychological treatments also helps gut, digestive system ?
2. And 95% of serotonin are found in gut, is my understanding correct?
Dr. Ashokkumar Sing: Over eating means 'adhyasan' , which means taking another meal before the first meal is digested , if one continue over eating it give rise formation of aam ie sleshma sansthan is disturbed ( function of stomach(secretions)hence it's pH gets affected , instead of proper digestion fermentation of food started in stomach, end product of fermentation of food give rise alcohol , alcohol gives sedative effect hence body n mind gets dull . Improper digestion of or weak digestion causes fermentation of food which are rich in cereals or grains (carbohydrates)

Upadhyay: Excessive drinking of water comes in
the way of treatment of any disease, as it dilutes the enzymes, ( पाचक पित्त ), giving rise to आम or Endotoxin. रोगाः सर्वेऽपि मन्दागौ Use of Samasharkara, has been found very

DOSE will vary person to person and SEASON ( ऋतु ) WHILE TREATING ANY DISEASE WE HAVE TO IMPROVISE DIGESTION DIGESTION CAN NOT BE IMPROVED WITHOUT CHANGING FOOD HABBITS, DRINKING WATER HABBITS DRINKING TOO MUCH WATER WILL SPOIL METABOLISM, THIS IN TURN WILL NOT ALLOW PROPER BOWEL MOVEMENT ( PERISTALSIS ). ALL THIS HAS CUMULATIVE EFFECT ON OUR BODY AND WE INVITE MANY DISEASES. IN SHORT KEEP THE DIGESTIVE FIRE PROPER ( igniting ) ENABLING PROPER DIGESTION OF FOOD
