Vd. Yashpalsinh Jadeja: I got good response in frozen shoulder by local swedan nd cupping.
Dr. Savad: In frozen shoulder symptoms are pain stiffness and numbness
Vata is getting avarana by kapha
Both vatha and kapha is having seetha virya
So we should pacify kapha first by *ushna ruksha* then pacificy vatha by *ushna snigdha*
(Churna pinda sweda -ushna ruksha
Patra pinda sweda -ushna snigda)

Dr. Sushant Patil: It's due to inflammation, is the result of inflammation, scarring, thickening, and shrinkage of the capsule that surrounds the normal shoulder joint. Any shoulder injury can lead to a frozen shoulder, including tendinitis, bursitis, and rotator cuff injury ie rotator cuff syndrome.
Can be compared with Avabahuka . Apabahuka is a disease that usually affects the Amsa sandhi (shoulder joint). It is produced by the Vata dosha. Even though the term Apabahuka is not mentioned in the nanatmaja Vata vyadhi, Acharya Sushruta and others have considered Apabahuka as a Vataja vikara. Amsa shosha (wasting of the shoulder) can be considered as the preliminary stage of the disease, where loss or dryness of Sleshaka Kapha from Amsa sandhi occurs. For the present study, Marsha nasya with Laghumasa Taila .
In the modern point of view, the diseases involving the neurological, musculoskeletal, psychosomatic, and gastrointestinal system disorders have more similarity with the Vata vyadhi. It indicates the wide ranging involvement of Vata in various systems of the body.
2168: Seems like an auto immune disorder.
Dr. Sushant Patil: Not in all possiblity . Rotator cuff injury, broken arm, stroke or immobilisation after a surgery can lead to a frozen shoulder. People with other health conditions including diabetes, heart disease, lung disease and hyperthyroidism may have an increased risk of developing frozen shoulder. Frozen shoulder typically develops slowly, and in three stages. Each of these stages can last a number of months:
Painful stage: Pain occurs with any movement and your shoulder’s range of motion starts to become limited
Frozen stage: Pain reduces; shoulder becomes stiffer and range of motion decreases.
Who is likely to get Frozen Shoulder?

The condition is more likely to occur around 45-50 years and is seen more commonly in women.
Those with thyroid disorders
Those who must rest for long hours after sustaining an injury or being operated on
Those with chronic inflammatory arthritis of the shoulder
Diabetics
Frozen shoulder develops over time with main symptom being pain and stiffness in shoulder region. People with Frozen Shoulder also report inability to move the shoulder.
Common symptoms of frozen shoulder,
Severe pain
Stiffness in shoulder region
Pain on moving the shoulder in initial stage
Restricted movement
Difficulty moving the shoulder in later stage
Hormonal changes especially in menopause
Dr. Swagath Narayan: 80% of them are Diabetic, even it's under control the one visramsa will be there leading to sandhi shaitilya. The ojus.
Vd. Hardik bhatt: yes, diabetic pt. surely effected with frozen shoulder.
Ayucafe 06 2019 02: Viddhkarma n agnikarm treatment Gives more result for frozen shoulder
Dr. Shahil H Bhavsar: How can we apply viddh karma or marma therapy in frozen shoulder?
Ayulink Ayurveda: There are set of Marma points described in Marma therapy for frozen shoulder. Practically Anash marma, Urvi marma - aani marma, kurpar marma, indrabasti marma, manibandh marma, kshipra marma, tal hruday marma, anshfalak marma etc are suggested for the instant relief in avabahuka.
Vd. Dipak Upadhyay: I attended work shop on this topic at government ayurvedic College panigate vadodara arranged by VAP..It was an unique workshop.
2168: Indeed lack of ojas. and are we familiar with what the classical texts say about the causes of prahmeha? And are we aware of studies and doctors that note one can have complete elimination of type 2 diabetes in a matter of weeks? Such would go a long way to getting to body again to heal itself.
Of note, the properly modern studies of type 2 diabetes to agree with and validate the said causes of prameha in Charaka.
Vd. Bhavesh Sirvi: Marma chikitsa also very good in frozen shoulder. After Marma chikitsa go for Ekal Therapy(Local Abhyangam and Sweden)  Nasya if needed Than Agnikarma /Cupping Therapy
Dr. Supratim Bir: With due respect just sharing my  experience in connection with frozen shoulder management.
Agnikarma along with Nasya (pratimarsha) along with Kaisor guggul do great. With in 3 weeks
Dr. Lokeshwary Gpet: At is the principle or scientific reason of performing agnikarma.... In frozen shoulder how its mode of action can be proven.....
Vd. Vipul Patil: My self also doing agnikarma excellent results Vina vaatam shulam masti And due to ati shit gun at anash shandhi sathi leads to stambh Agnikarma is usan chikitsa  So it work
Dr. Supratim Bir: Yes it's a kapha vata condition, and perfectly fits to treat the condition.
Vd. Pritam Bharat Veer: For frozen shoulder I give snehan swedan. It's kaf wat pradhan dushti. Mostly seen in diabetic patients. Amruta guggul, keshor g, trayodashang give result depending upon dosh dushti .  Agnikarm is done as apunarbhav chikitsa. Nasya plays a very good role in frozen shoulder. Daily nasya is preferable.
Dr. Supratim Bir: Jambeer pinda sweda Or Patra pinda sweda will  benefit the pt. I mean do wonder If pt is not ready for Agnikarma
Branko Markovic: Theme connected with our subject
https://www.eurasiareview.com/10102019-humans-have-salamander-like-ability-to-regrow-cartilage-in-joints/
Vd. Pritam Bharat Veer: Yes , pinda is the best option
Dr. Shriniwas Gujjarwar: Reduce the pain and improve the shouder movements.
2168: Such is not unrelated to other cartilage and tendon deterioration such as osteoarthritis. In that case, a certain amount of excess fat or kapha seems like it will significantly impair the body's ability to regenerate. As some said being overweight is highly associated with osteoarthritis, perhaps mpst with frozen shoulder are also as such. Think of animals. In their natural environment, they do not get overweight and perhaps have no problems.
Ayulink Ayurveda: Nasya with Nirgundi oil gives faster and best result, this is my practical experience.
Dr. Vivek D. Shah: Plain shudha vishtinduk is only a sigle drug of choice which i use for frozen shoulder and gvs excellant results..
Branko Markovic: Laksha, Shallaki + guggulu (according to other lakshana) give good results. Prasarini also!

Dr. Rachana Mumbai: Anxiety??
Vd. Pankaj Chhayani: In cardiac problems ,pts feel different types of discomfort. there are no specific terms for different types of discomfort in  modern science so they termed as GABHARAMAN. In Ayurveda, There are various terms for discomfort like- 1) आयम्यते- दीर्घ क्रियते-feeling of dilatation 2) पाटयते- द्विधा क्रियते- feeling of splitting 3) स्फोटयते-feeking of breaking 4) निर्मथ्यते- विलोडयत-feeling of churning 5) तुधते- प्रतोदेन व्यथ्यत- feeling of pricking 6) दीर्यते-आरयेव-feeling of cutting 7) घोष 8) दूयन- giddiness 8) संत्रास- feeling of distress 9) शून्यता- feeling of emptiness 10) दर- bewilderment 11) आश्रम आवृत- feeling like chest is loaded with stone 12) भारिकम्- feeling of heaviness 13) स्तिमित- feeling of stiffness.   Most of times pt can't describe these feelings so he simply called it as GABHARAMAN...

Ayulink Ayurveda: Gabhraman is a typical local word....can not be explained well in other language.. it might involve anxiety, fear and other factors...and the person can feel uneasiness and kind of discomfort.
Dr.Piyush Dodiwadiya: Typical local Gujrati word. Gabharaman
Present in psychological or in cardiac condition
Dr. Vivek D. Shah: I think All the things related Gabhraman is completely included in this... 😇.. No more explanation regarding defination of gabhraman..
clinicly Gabhraman as a symptoms seems different acc  patient to patient...
Shri Minoo parabia: Can we relate this to word Dyspnoea?
Dr. Fozia u. Sareshwala : No.its different
Ayulink Ayurveda: I think there is no particular herb or formula can be prescribed for gabharahat
2168: Classical ayurveda would look for and treat the cause.
Dr. Madhuri Patil Chaudhari : Gabhrahat can be equated with Bhay actually, fear causing anxiety . The approach  Rational Emotion replacement  Behaviour Therapy REBT Bhay is overcome by Krodha or Aahav (A word mentioned in Sushrut Samhita, )  a type of Deepan.
Causing anger or Santap or 🔥 in the gut. Taap induced by Tapa,  Active passion, not passive passion  (not Raag Raag means Attachment  Rajasik , more Vaayu than Pitta. We need Pitta dose to counteract on Bhay produced by Vaayu, so Vayu Mahabhut gets transformed into Agni Mahabhut, on a subtle level or Bhutagni level.)

Next topic for discussion: Epilepsy (apasmar) #Ayurveda
Dr. Shahil H Bhavsar: Apasmar is told to be one of the mental disorder in Ayurveda. So as per my understanding manasik dosha should be brought in sam avastha. They are satwa rajas and tamas. Here satwa is diminished and other two are increased by their individual nidan. Samprapti itself says it is disorder of manas dosha. Convulsions can be correlated with the excessive rajas guna kriya leading to vat prakop Different states of patient during the convulsion and after the convulsion is depending on the dosha dominance. Hence medhya, vat shamak, chikitsa should be done
Dr. Mahjabeen: I have given treatment  for epilepsy  but its supportive treatment  and its successful

I used it to correct liver
Cap naushader +epsumsalt+blacksalt+hard+... to correct  liver.  In my view we shud correct  liver first. I made arq et my home with idly mommose utensils
It's easy to make. in frst pan I soak medicine  over night. Then boil it by keeping ice water on top. Then extract  liquid will be collected  in middle  portion. Since 4 months I was giving this till now no complains
Dr. Shahil H Bhavsar: Panch gavya ghrit Nasya with puran ghrit can be given
Dr. Mahjabeen: Kachnar goggul  also I made at home that's y good response It shud be given to Kafa dosha
Vd. Pankaj Chhayani: Yesterday one pt came in OPD. 4 months back, he was hit by stone on head. Thereafter he had been suffering from tonic clonic convulsions. He didn't get any releif  inspite of allopathy treatment. One episode per week.  He has been taking medicine from our hospital. He has been prescribing Only Jatamansi. No even single episode in last two months.
92168: Caraka in listing causes notes diet before gunas and dosha. I think that may be correct. Modern science has noted gut bacteria as an influence of convultions. The modern trend has been to use a keto diet for treatment. That i think is not the best option.
Dr. Rachana Mumbai : Khar dudh is useful in epilepsy along with panchgavya ghrt very good results.....
This has being experimented by a BAMS doctor on her own new born.... Who got siezers due to forceps delivery immediately after birth...... Her father explored ayurveda and found this combination..... Initially she was on allopathic medication than the doctor tapered the medication and stopped allopathic medication by the child was 1 and half year old..
And he continued ayurveda medicines for 5 years of her age today that girl is 18 year old, she didn't get any episode of siezers till date...
92168: panchgavya ghrta and mahapanchgavya ghrta are listed in Caraka. mahapanchgavya may be less used since it is more complicated to produce.
Croatia Branko Markovic: Had one case of Apasmar with girl of 6 years old. She had up to 12 episodes per day! She was strictly on vata diet, taking brahmi vati, smriti sagar ras, brahmi ghritam, later mahakalyanaka ghritam. After 3 months she had 1-2 attack during night. Later just occasionally. After one year mother call me and told me that she didn’t have it at all and that people who didn’t knew her couldn’t believe she had Apasmar.
khar dudh - Donkey milk
92168: Donkey as well as numerous other milks have been used by many ancient cultures. Possible human milk is best and some say the only one appropriate. Not sure what other texts says, though Caraka notes it favorites growth and is used for massage, nasya, hemorrage, and as many should know, for eyes. Caraka lists human milk last, perhaps because at the time the texts were composed, India had already changed much from the Vedic age and people were uncomfortable with it. In another culture, I think the Greek doctor Galen, I think it was him or maybe it was pseudo-Aristotle, noted countless Greek doctors also mentioned its use.
Vd. Pankaj Chhayani: Charaka has also prescribed Stool of leech for Abhyanga/Udavartana in Apasmara. Chronic Apasmara is considered as difficult to treat(दुश्चिकित्स्य)  and has acquired a firm footing (कृतास्पद). Rasayana chikitsa is prescribed for such condition. Shatavari with milk is very good and as Shatavari is gender specific ,it works  in women nicely. Every seizure is not epilepsy. SEIZURE:- Abnormal electrical activity in brain resulting in abnormal MOTOR, SENSORY or PSYCHOMOTOR experience called Seizure.. If person having tendency of recurrent seizure then it's called EPILEPSY...... EPILEPSY is spontaneous, recurrent abnormal electrical activity in the brain which may clinically manifest as abnormal motor, sensory or PSYCHOMOTOR experiences....MOTOR experiences manifest as TONIC, CLONIC, TONIC CLONIC, ATONIC, MYOCLONIC..  (1)Motor epilepsy mainly caused by provocation of Vata (and Pitta.). कम्पते- trembling, प्रदशेदन्तान्- Gnashing of teeth and biting of tongue, अनवस्थित पाणीपाद- instability of upper and lower limb - these are symptoms given in Vatika type..... (2) Sensory Epilepsy manifest as SOMATIC, SPECIAL SENSES( Abnormal visual experience..) ,VISCERAL ( abdominal cramps, diarrhoea- also called abdominal epilepsy). In clinical practice, Temporal lobe and Occipital lobe Epilepsy are commonly seen. . पुरुष अरूण कृष्णानि पश्येद रूपाणि- This is visual aura- Visual hallucination. Susruta has described Visual hallucinations in all three types of epilepsy. अशब्दश्रवण- hearing of such sounds as are non- existent, this is  Auditary hallucination given in Purvarupa... (3) Psychomotor Epilepsy manifests as very weird behaviour, most of times such cases are misdiagnosed as mental problem. Charaka  has described as बीभत्स चेष्ट- disgusting movements of limb( many times wierd sexually behaviour). When pt is asked that why are you doing such weird behaviour, pts reply that I have not behaved weirdly- स्मृतेरपगम-transit loss of memory... Charaka/Susruta have described all three types of epilepsy under one term of APASMARA...    Absence epilepsy-अभीक्ष्णमपस्मरन्तं क्षणेन संज्ञां प्रतिलभमानम्- losing and regaining consciousness instantaneously...
Ayulink Ayurveda: I was not sure, how many of us having clinical experience of management of Epilepsy. But I know that we can do better with ayurveda. One of the leading Neuro-physician of Gujarat state (Padmashri) Dr. Sudhir Shah (MD, DM-Neuro) is more confident then us for the treatment of Epilepsy. He strongly recommend all ayurveda doctors to go for our classical text books. According to him Charak Samhita was the first documented knowledge about Epilepsy. Unfortunately I have not much practical experience  to treat this condition. More or less I suggest Brahmi Ghrut, Ashwagandha Ghrut and medhya rasayanas. I have tried with shirodhara too, but not having significant improvements. Please share some practical tips for clinical practice.
Dr. Rugue : my experience is with the use of nasya  and oral panchagavya ghrita and the use of vacha in case of crisis
Ayulink Ayurveda: Vacha is very useful...but it should be used under control. Otherwise there can be serious side effects or complications
Dr. Rugue : Yes. Only if the patient have crisis
Ayulink Ayurveda: Plus patient never comes to ayurveda with onset of attack......Vacha can be very good in such case...if the doctor is having mastery in the use of Vacha.
Vd. Pankaj Chhayani: I use Vacha in almost every pts of Pratishyaya, Svasa and Apasmara... 300 mg in Combination...
Dr. Mahjabeen: I used vacha in many cases but compound  formula I used it in Pitta imbalance . Good response. I used in down syndrome. Where i given fr speech ...good response
Croatia Branko Markovic: Traditionally in my country they use Vacha in Amla pitta...nobody use it like Medhya drug
Dr. Manshukh Mangakiya: Jatamasi works in epilepsy
