Next topic for discussion: Frozen Shoulder #Ayurveda
Vd.
Yashpalsinh Jadeja: I got good response in frozen shoulder by local
swedan nd cupping.
Dr. Savad: In frozen shoulder symptoms are pain stiffness and
numbness
Vata is getting avarana by kapha
Both vatha and kapha is having seetha virya
So we should pacify kapha first by *ushna ruksha* then
pacificy vatha by *ushna snigdha*
(Churna pinda sweda -ushna ruksha
Patra pinda sweda -ushna snigda)

Ayulink offers Arthrothermia treatment for any kind of Joint/Ligament/Muscular
disease.

Dr. Sushant
Patil: It's due to inflammation, is the result of inflammation,
scarring, thickening, and shrinkage of the capsule that surrounds the normal
shoulder joint. Any shoulder injury can lead to a frozen shoulder, including
tendinitis, bursitis, and rotator cuff injury ie rotator cuff syndrome.
Can be compared with Avabahuka . Apabahuka is a disease that
usually affects the Amsa sandhi (shoulder joint). It is produced by the Vata
dosha. Even though the term Apabahuka is not mentioned in the nanatmaja Vata
vyadhi, Acharya Sushruta and others have considered Apabahuka as a Vataja
vikara. Amsa shosha (wasting of the shoulder) can be considered as the
preliminary stage of the disease, where loss or dryness of Sleshaka Kapha from
Amsa sandhi occurs. For the present study, Marsha nasya with Laghumasa Taila .
In the modern point of view, the diseases involving the
neurological, musculoskeletal, psychosomatic, and gastrointestinal system
disorders have more similarity with the Vata vyadhi. It indicates the wide
ranging involvement of Vata in various systems of the body.
2168: Seems like
an auto immune disorder.
Dr. Sushant
Patil: Not in all possiblity . Rotator cuff injury, broken arm,
stroke or immobilisation after a surgery can lead to a frozen shoulder. People
with other health conditions including diabetes, heart disease, lung disease
and hyperthyroidism may have an increased risk of developing frozen shoulder.
Frozen shoulder typically develops slowly, and in three stages. Each of these
stages can last a number of months:
Painful stage: Pain occurs with any movement and your
shoulder’s range of motion starts to become limited
Frozen stage: Pain reduces; shoulder becomes stiffer and
range of motion decreases.
Who is likely to get Frozen Shoulder?
The condition is more likely to occur around 45-50 years and
is seen more commonly in women.
Those with thyroid disorders
Those who must rest for long hours after sustaining an injury
or being operated on
Those with chronic inflammatory arthritis of the shoulder
Diabetics
Frozen shoulder develops over time with main symptom being
pain and stiffness in shoulder region. People with Frozen Shoulder also report
inability to move the shoulder.
Common symptoms of frozen shoulder,
Severe pain
Stiffness in shoulder region
Pain on moving the shoulder in initial stage
Restricted movement
Difficulty moving the shoulder in later stage
Hormonal changes especially in menopause

Dr. Shahil
H Bhavsar: How can we apply viddh karma or marma therapy in frozen
shoulder?
Ayulink
Ayurveda: There are set of Marma points described in Marma therapy for
frozen shoulder. Practically Anash marma, Urvi marma - aani marma, kurpar
marma, indrabasti marma, manibandh marma, kshipra marma, tal hruday marma,
anshfalak marma etc are suggested for the instant relief in avabahuka.
Vd. Dipak
Upadhyay: I attended work shop on this topic at government ayurvedic
College panigate vadodara arranged by VAP..It was an unique workshop.
2168: Indeed
lack of ojas. and are we familiar with what the classical texts say about the
causes of prahmeha? And are we aware of studies and doctors that note one can
have complete elimination of type 2 diabetes in a matter of weeks? Such would
go a long way to getting to body again to heal itself.
Of note, the properly modern studies of type 2 diabetes to
agree with and validate the said causes of prameha in Charaka.
Vd. Bhavesh
Sirvi: Marma chikitsa also very good in frozen shoulder. After
Marma chikitsa go for Ekal Therapy(Local Abhyangam and Sweden) Nasya if needed Than Agnikarma /Cupping
Therapy
Dr.
Supratim Bir: With due respect just sharing my experience in connection with frozen shoulder
management.

Lokeshwary Gpet: At is the principle or scientific reason of
performing agnikarma.... In frozen shoulder how its mode of action can be

is usan chikitsa So it work
Dr.
Supratim Bir: Yes it's a kapha vata condition, and perfectly fits to treat
the condition.
Vd. Pritam
Bharat Veer: For frozen shoulder I give snehan swedan. It's kaf wat
pradhan dushti. Mostly seen in diabetic patients. Amruta guggul, keshor g,
trayodashang give result depending upon dosh dushti . Agnikarm is done as apunarbhav chikitsa. Nasya
plays a very good role in frozen shoulder. Daily nasya is preferable.
Dr.
Supratim Bir: Jambeer pinda sweda Or Patra pinda sweda will benefit the pt. I mean do wonder If pt is not
ready for Agnikarma
Branko
Markovic: Theme connected with our subject
https://www.eurasiareview.com/10102019-humans-have-salamander-like-ability-to-regrow-cartilage-in-joints/
Vd. Pritam
Bharat Veer: Yes , pinda is the best option
Dr.
Shriniwas Gujjarwar: Reduce the pain and improve the shouder movements.
2168: Such is
not unrelated to other cartilage and tendon deterioration such as
osteoarthritis. In that case, a certain amount of excess fat or kapha seems
like it will significantly impair the body's ability to regenerate. As some
said being overweight is highly associated with osteoarthritis, perhaps mpst
with frozen shoulder are also as such. Think of animals. In their natural
environment, they do not get overweight and perhaps have no problems.
Ayulink
Ayurveda: Nasya with Nirgundi oil gives faster and best result, this
is my practical experience.
Dr. Vivek
D. Shah: Plain shudha vishtinduk is only a sigle drug of choice which
i use for frozen shoulder and gvs excellant results..
Branko
Markovic: Laksha, Shallaki + guggulu (according to other lakshana) give
good results. Prasarini also!
