Vd. Sunil Suthar Vadaj: Formation of water during making rice ( osaman ) + cardamom + rock sugar gives wonderful result in dhatu kshay (proteinurea) ( if albumin present in urine ) start as diet in the morning empty stomach instead of tea/ coffee !  In some Gyneac probs , we can use pushya nug churn with anupan of rice water !
Dr. J. T. Contractor Herbal Therapist: Any herbal powder medicine if given with rice water( osaman) or the liquified rice, boosts faster in the body, it's a very good execrator
Vd Avni Vyas: Rice water is give good effect in  white discharge..

Dr. Prerak Shah: It is said that shali rice - half boiled contains high amount of vitamin B group. And that's why it was used for shashtishali pind svedana - for all neurological disorders.  It's a kind of local application and absorption of vit B. Which is very common in modern medicine too.
USA Dinesh Pandya: Shashti Shali means the rice after 60 days will ready  for harvesting. .....can anyone give name of rice which is available in market.

Contractor: pH value of curd is less than 5 being acidic so mustn't be used in acidity,as being practiced by many,butter milk or curd due to it's creamy coatings quality,it covers temporarily the fishers on inner wall of food pipe,which protects from exposure to acidic gases for some time but later back fires badly.
USA Dinesh Pandya: Brown rice might also be beneficial for those already have Type 2 diabetes. A small study in the Philippines published in the International Journal of Food Sciences and Nutrition compared the effects of eating brown or white rice on blood glucose levels in healthy and diabetic volunteers. Both groups showed reduced blood glucose levels eating brown rice instead of white, with the diabetic group showing a 35 percent reduction
Anand Javeri: I've heard that people with diabetes should not eat rice or in very less amount.  So, please throw some light on this.

Dr. Hardik: Tandula(rice) is mentioned in most of disease as pathya(diet preparation). For example in jwara(fever) agni is mand(decreas). So patient can't digest proper heavy food. So charak has started diet plan for jwara rogi from yavagu preparation. Yavagu specially made from rice. Rice are rich in carbohydrates. Carbohydrates can be easily digest in agni mandhya. Than gradually give higher diet than carbohydrate mudaga yush(protein rich diet), mansarasa, falarasa etc. At last after 12 days cow ghee can give to jwara rogi…..So rice are use as (dipan-pachan)appetiser.
Germany Helga Fuchs:  After virecana as diet for the first day only rice water. Second day getting thicker Form meal to meal, 3 day add 1 Typ ghee, later pinch oft Salt, later pinch oft pepper ... Later other spice, later vegetable....in 7 day first normal food. More easy as dhal for diet

Baroda Arti parimal: Boiled rice with rakta-chandan ghee and milk. Make a paste and massage in wrinkles. Wash after 15-20 minutes (Raktachandan ghee=medicated ghee prepared with Red sandal wood)….Anyone can use it ….Is also anti ageing  also….

Baroda Arti parimal: If you add honey and buffalo ghee (not in equal proportion ) may gain your weight
With boiled veges and moongdal soup red rice may reduce your weight

Additives like dal ghee cheese, paneer etc. makes the whole dish Guru in various degrees, which may increase weight. pressure cooker cooked rice is guru than openhandi cooked rice.  the methods or procedures of Sanskar on rice changes its basic Guna of laghutva, pachya, madhur vipak.
Vd. Dhruti Nirav Bhatt: Rice Yavagu with Saindhav and Blackpepper useful in Weight reduction. rice ausaman with Sakar and Amlki churna best for white discharge and leg cramps.
Vd. Ritaben Nadiad: Whole grains brown rice, which is rice that natural and unrefined.whole grain brown rice benefits are 1.It lowers the risk of developing diabetes. 2. It's high in fiber . So fiber also has many others benefits including promoting cardiovascular health.3. It's a good source of manganese and selenium. It 's both r helpful devlop immune system and antioxidant. 4. It can lower cholesterol. 5. It offers many cardiovascular benefits , including atherosclerosis. 6. It's a good source of phytonutrients . Phytonutrients r compounds naturally found in plants that have anti inflammatory properties and tend to act as an antioxidant. 8. It reduce the risk of developing metabolic syndrome. Metabolic syndrome is a combination of factors that increase the risk of developing type 2 diabetes, heart disease and strock.9 . It reduce the risk of childhood Asthama. Children who eat plenty of whole grains along with fish can lower theri risk of developing asthma by 50 percent. 10.It promotes bone health. It is good source of magnesium.

Dr. Chirag: Local application of rice ….Old rice water with honey and fenugreek seed is a good idea for endrogenic acnes…Old rice water with a half banana n a tsf of curd with a pinch of curcumin is a good skin lightning treatment…..Rice as oral medicine ……Bran of  rice is rich phyto neurotransmitters so a long term oral intake of it can be suggested in neuropathies. So, During d developmental years of d child also brown rice, bamboo rice is useful
New rice basmati is rich in amylose which is a necessary for absorption  n manufacturing of certain chemical complex like ALA,  so is beneficial for dryness of skin n wrinkles if taken for a long time

Contractor : Rice has a tremendous capacity to absorb humidity-water retention capacity may b used to induce or remove water from body to reduce bulging body, technically if v say a method b developed wth a role of rice to reduce body weight, may b by eating more of chapati made frm rice flour (lot)!
Vd. Kundan Gadhavi: there was discussion that shali can be given in obese or not? its clearly mentioned that in obese ghuru+aptarpan diet should be given,shali is laghu so can't give in obese  above reference given in carak samhita.... ch.su. 25 th chapter

Dr. Ravindra Upadhyay: Any rice which if used within 1 year after it is brought from farms is new, it is heavy to digest, Ayurved has advised  Pooran ( old ) dhanya to be used in day to day practice, or any grain should be consumed after heating in the sunlight, or heated on slow gas stove before consumption. In big cities there is shortage of space, wherever possible  should be stored for a year then used, such rice or any grain (  Dhanya ) becomes laghu easy to digest…..no fixed measure for basmati, one does not develop gases because of rice, it is because of improper bowel movement causing constipation

Dr. Ravindra Upadhyay: no, not at all harmful, soft rice, never harmful, rice cooked in pressure cooker which is clumped not soft, is heavy to digest, anything which is taking longer to digest is heavy to digest, giving rise to high sugar, accumulation of fats….. And idlis,rice flakes(poha)?..... easy to digest, idli should be soft prepared from ookhada rice ie not white, greyish, little thicker but easy ro digest

Pankaj Chhayani: Actually new rice (less than one year) have damp inside it, so it become heavy to digest..one year or more old rice doesn't have damp inside, so it's light to digest. in india before green revolution, crop was not too much produced, and so people had to use new rice..but nowadays abundant crop is produced and can store it and can be used after 1 or more year...... Old cereals help reducing weight, new increase weight...Charaka says for accustomed to carbohydrate, protein and fat in daily diet.. Rice , barley In carbohydrate, Mungo bean in proteins, Cow ghee in fat are included for daily use...and person should be accustomed to these articles..

Dr Dipak Shirude: If you make krushara i.e. khichri , it will raise weight……But the recipes like peya, mand, vilepi in limited quantity and instead of regular food, will decrease or keep constant the weight…This is my belief and observational conclusion.
Dr. Madhuri Patil Chaudhari:  If Genetically modified strain of rice is used,   how do we know what kind of Guna or properties the rice has in variant degress than those already mentioned in Samhitas or Granthas?Here in India, we still get the kind of rice that is described in Samhitas but still how do we know the source of variation in which and to what degrees. so better to concentrate on a particular esp. Shalishasti rice or all Granthokt rice variants as medicine and Protect it to prevent variation by Genetic modifications

..तन्डुलान् पृथुकानपी l न जातु भुक्त्वान खादेन्मात्रा खादेद् बुभुक्षित: ll
(1) Should not be eat rice after meal.
(2) Should not be eat only rice in meal or when you would like to eat rice than in "मात्रा". it is more practical view of charak on rice.
