Dr. Sushant Patil: The Shwas Vyadhi includes some reference from Effectd air inhalation , As we all are seeing in Delhi too many people are suffering from Symptoms related to Pranvah Strotas , and this all was described in Janpadodhwas. Toxic air inhalation should be considered in Visha chikitsa too. So Dhupana off Shirish Bark, Tulasi Leaves, Neeb leaves is beneficial
Ayulink: Can dhoopen increase level of tar? if yes, how can it be helpful in pranavah srotas diseases?
Dr. Sushant Patil: Actually we have to use Yukti for that. Dhoopan should not be direct it's in some distance.
Ayulink: This is also an argument for dhoompan treatment, always questioned by modern scientists..
Dr. Ashok Shinde: For prevention of diseases due to air pollution I use to do Agnihotra every day at surise and sunset
With desi cowdung+desi cow ghee+camphor+Dhoop.
Creats healthy atmosphere & soothing smell throughout the day.
Also planted Tulasi plants around my house.
Dr. Sushant Patil: Even If we have to avoid Dhoopan Shirish Bark , leaves, Tulasi , Fanijjak (Jangli Tulasi) can be taken in form of decoction but not for all those who are showing symptoms
Dr. Arvind Shahane: Air pollution affect on pranvahsrotas. So treat with shwash chikitsa

Ayulink: can we use mask on nose / face with camphor inside?
Dr. Ashok Shinde: In our hospital we regularly do dhoopan with Camphor,Dhoop,Guggul,No adverse effect on Respiratory infections.. Morning & Evening
Dr. Mrugeshkumar Patel: I also use two drop of cow ghee in each nostrils ,& take 2 spoon cow ghee morning & evening to remove hevy metal like lead ,mercury does not accumulate in bone kidney
Dr. Sushant Patil: It should be natural nor artificial
Dr Jayesh Patel: We also use palankashadi dhoop for air pollution.....
In Jvar chikitsa charak has also mention Vishnu shastra nam jap with hom havan ....

Vd. Jayesh Thakkar: Can we relate this grave condition air pollution as mentioned of in Janapada dhamsa adhyaa...all panch bhut getting affected in turn chain effect resulting all sort of health unfavourability and sodhana of body & environment as the ultimate management
Ayulink: Pl suggest anything for the person affected by air pollution....and symptoms
Dr. Sushant Patil: I had given a decoction Trifala , Amruta, Shirish , Bharangi. It's after meal and dinner.
Ayulink: some patients do complain of severe breathlessness or heavy chock up in throat.....can we give them anything for instant relief? I use ajwain extract for such condition
Vd. Ahmed Savani: Does that give instant relief?
Dr. Bindiya U Shanghvi: Ya sir plz share d procedure
Vd. Jayesh Thakkar: Nasya - ghee in nostrils...steam inhalation of ajwain or eucalyptus oil...practicing pranayam...including turmeric, tulsi regularly...jaggery lick for dry cough...bibhitaki lick helps in respiratory...in sob shortness of breath...swasananda dhanwantara gutika helps...other management effect growing medicated plants like neem...using dhoopan of guggul aguru particularly helps prevent dampness in house with air pollutants it leads to bronchial allergy
Ayulink No. I give it as a spray. we have developed a mouth spray from ajwain extract. and many times (not all times) it works
Dr. Dipa Mehta: It's work in many conditions
Vd. Ahmed Savani: That's a innovative approach. conditions such as?
Deepa Mam can you pls throw some light and how to prepare one?
Dr. Sushant Patil: Pradhaman nasya will give instant relief
Ayulink: It's under trial and patent...but it works in almost all kinds of symptoms of respiratory conditions. starting from simple cold, cough, sinusitis, bronchitis, asthmatic attack etc. we have also tried to replace broncho-dilators in nebulizer. This will a unique approach - may be never thought to introduce any medicine, direct in to lung. We do introduce dhoom (vapor or steam) but not medicine itself. At this moment I can share only this much.
P A. Deshpande: Pollution has three dimensional effect on Hyman life due its hazardous combination of moisture, residues of unburnt petrolium oils toxic gases like carbon di oxide hydrogen sulphides etc. This typical products are difficult to clean even topically by cleansing agents. Hence for body, work place, home and elsewhere we need to protect ourselves. Intake we can purity to some extent but, Exhale , detoxification cleansing is in our hands. Hence for prevention of polluted air use mask for water ionisation, for fruits and vegetables ozone . For atmosphere at work and home air purifier / ozone generator . Pranayam , bowel cleansing periodically. Remedies --- hot dry fomentation for removal of sticky oilish substances from respiratory track, nasya of castor oil. ( lubricates longer time ) is best. Allergy is bit to explain here but if health is maintained it can be no issue. Protecting eyes ear nose palms and feet is necessary. Fasting periodically is also a preventive one
Dr Nrupesh Gupta, Surat: Disease caused by air pollution can be controlled by taking daily pratimarsh nasya.
In surat I suggest all my patient to have go ghrita nasya before leaving home. If its not possible I suggest them to simply apply it in both nostrils just like the procedure of nasya.
It will be beneficial in protecting them from polluted environment. Compulsary Use tulsi and aadrak daily in tea.
Croatia Branko Markovic: Bastrika pranayam plus putting ghee in nose
P A. Deshpande: For instant relief from congestion nebulization of hydrogen peroxide 5 % is very effective . Even topical application if Of H2O2 through soaked cotton on chest neck gives good reluef
Dr. Ashok Shinde: How it works? Please
Vd. Dipak Upadhyay: I don't know about this... Can be more specific ??
Ayulink: recently few patients complain for eye burning too. its not only limited to respiratory conditions.....and plus management of such reactions are difficult. Just giving few medicine like shvas-kas chintamani ras etc. are not enough. Breathing exercise - pranayam , nasal drops, dhoopam etc are always helpful
P A. Deshpande: Hydrogen peroxide is a protocol in alternative therapy for many diseases even for cancer psorisis allergies and non healing wounds. It when applied or given through nabulization it releases oxygen disinfecting the area. For respiratory it releases cleans sticks sputum instantly . It makes patient relaxed. For cure it has some roll. When topically applied it penetrates through skin and clears oxydises cavitis giving instant relief.. In skin diseases spray H2O2 directly with spray bottle and on absorption apply coconut oil . Immediate relief from itching.and stress too. Ollutants affect skin eyes ears nose and even other parts especially where two layers of skin contacts. If not taken care can cause exhema etc fungal and auto immune disorders
USA Gary Yuen: I haven't done much investigation, though it seems only common foods (perhaps some herbs) have been studied for their abilities to protect against pollution. sulforaphane (in brassica plants such as radish mustard cauliflower moringa), is one of the more studied. though the variation in compounds in brassica plants and their protective effects, I'm not sure how well that's studied.
Shri Minoo parabia: Pollution is very wide and all pervading. However, water, air and radiation are affecting us directly. Enhancing natural immunity is of prime importance. I recommend Rasayanchurna daily for all. As for the diseases, it ranges from allergic rhinitis to asthma and cancers.
Ayulink: Can someone share any successful treated case of problems created by air pollution?
Dr. Sushant Patil: Actually prevention is better than cure . We should advice mask to people.
If still they will suffer we have to treat them
As I mentioned above I used to treat Ashthama and air pollution born disease with full history taking.
Air pollution should be considered as Visha prayoga By air.
Vd. Dhruti Kagrana: Air pollution is also harmful for Hair. Air pollution is not just by industries and vehicles but it also spread by dust mites, chemicals in carpets, air fresheners off-gassing from plastics.
Dr. Vishva Joshi: My regards to all doctors, We should cover our face and body by covering with linen or mask while we r going out side,
Using sunscrin in daytime, Daily morning consumption of appropriate dry fruits and fruits, improves immunity and it helps in reoccurring sore throat ,it works excellent,
As who r pt of lung disorder should advice to take rutisandhi kal paricharya, and appropriate medicine while changing weather si it helps ,we can't avoid pollution we have to take care, As sir said about herbal remedies nebulization,it's great idea to introduce our herbs as a bronchi di later, Simple normal saline nebulization works excellent for expectorant of cough,
We can make ayurvedic nebulization respules and introduce in market,it definitely work, bcaz simple hot ajwain smell improves our breath while we suffering from cold, Is that simpel, Guduchi+sakar+go dhrut+ honey
Mix well and make tablet, consume in early morning as per pt appropriate dise improves skin immunity magically,it's my own experience, Using udavartan for bath, improves skin tone and clean dust also,
Surat Dr Nrupesh Gupta: Ask the patient to drink proper quantity of water
- Digestion should be maintened properly
- Use of avleh prepration is good in this condition
Dr. Hemal Abhishek Bhatt: Air pollution is a beginning of jana padodhwamsa due to Vayu (air). Yagna, Homa, Havana with sarsava, tila, yava and other kashtha are the classically stated in ayurveda.
Dr. Hiral Khakhar Gandhinagar: We can give kankasav+somasav, swasakalp, triatu churna or chosathpraari pipal according to prakriti,we can give haldi+ dalchini+sunthi..we can suggest pranayam n netikriya for nasal congestion.. Avoid cold, sweet food, curd etc..
Germany Helga Fuchs: 👍
Dr. Jyoti Ashok: If v follow dinacharya properly, like daily abhyanga , nasya, anjana, karnapoorana gandoosha( i advise oil pulling), it gives resistance in this polluted atmosphere.
