Today's topic for discussion: Anti- inflammatory diet according to #ayurveda
Surat Vd Mukul Patel: Pathya given in classical
texts for diseases like aama vata, pain predominant diseases and diseases where
you can corelate " inflammatory " conditions can be considered as
anti inflammatory diet. Today a lot of research has been done by the ethno
botanical sector and certain vegetables, grains, kitchen herbs, etc are labeled
anti inflammatory. sunthi fant, (ginger infused water), Mudga yush Barley,
Madhulika (Ragi) Ginger, Haridra, Ajmo Whole grains (non processed) Raab type
of preparations Dark green leafy vegetables (as per recent research) Cherry

herbs are included in Sothahara dashemani by charaka ( 10 herbs that relieves
Inflammation ) How to use them in daily diet is a matter of innovation of new
ideas by vaidyas. Patala - Stereospermum suaveolens Agnimantha - Clerodendrum
phlomidis Linn. f. Shyonaka - Oroxylum indicum Vent. Bilva - Aegle marmelos
Corr. Kashmarya - Gmelina arborea Linn. Kantakarika – Solanum xanthocarpum,
Brihati – Solanum indicum, Shalaparni - Desmodium gangeticum DC. Prishnaparni –
Uraria picta and Goksuraka - Tribulus terrestris Linn.

USA Dr. Vijay Jain: Thank you for the
information. In my opinion, all autoimmune patients as well as cancer patients
should be on anti inflammatory diet. I would include all bitter spices like
fenugreek and turmeric as well as bitter fruits and vegetables.

Good suggestion. It would be interesting to see effect of roti made from Yava
in dashmul water. Meghaben has rightly listed Barly, It is very loudly stated
in ayurveda texts to live on Yava for Pramehi ( which happens mainly due to
madhur, guru and pisht anna ) Yava is ruksha and laghu thus will protect agni
and help reduce guru and snigdha guna of shotha ( inflammations )

milk processed of panchkol,sadang panic a, gomutra are also antiinflammatory
inflammation due to ama dosh sadang paniya or water processed with
sunthi-dhaniya

charaka mentioned Dahi- Curd Amla, Tikshna,Ushna,Guru aahara causes of sotha.
Sanksheptaha kriyayogo nidanam parivarjanam... So,avoid this aahara. Acharya
charaka also said in samprapti of sotha first dushita dosha is vata..so avoid
vata imbalance food also.

under volcano. It is responsible for several degenerative diseases. Natural
anti inflammatory diet Flaxseed, Pomegranat,Termaric and Moringa leaf are very
useful....

with 80: percent intake of fruits vegetable n 20 percent carbo hydrates is best

VD. Tapan: Anti inflammatory diet
Morning tea : scramble ginger and boil in water,filter add a little of lemon
and a pinch of salt. Lunch : Shifty legume's thick soup Bringol's Bharatu
without curds Bajara rotalo. Afternoon tea : Same as morning Dinner : One glass
of Luke warm water ... For three to four days. .... Swarjika half spoon thrice
with water. This is a ganaral anti inflamatory manue May differ from
inflamation of the Aashay Kala and pratyanga.
Dr. Ravindra Upadhyay: As far as Shoth is concerned, to over come Shoth one has to curtail water intake. stop consuming freezed food, and freezed water. Aerated water ( cold drinks,) ice cream, etc. Consuming all sorts of milkshakes, ice creams, kulfi, chilled. lassi, chhash and water on regular basis.

Shigru(sargavo)ca be used in form of soup or shak to prevent water retaliation,saidhav is preferable than normal salt.
