Next topic for discussion:  : Urinary Tract Infection (UTI) and its management with #Ayurveda....
Vd. Jignesh Thakkar: During summer UTI happens more . Because of over perspiration volume of urine decrease and thus small volume can't clear urinary tract and thus happens UTI. To cure this situation one should drink plenty of water. And should be prescribed
1)chandraprabha vati, 2)chandanasav, )swet parpati, 4)gokshur+punarnava churna……According to patients age,condition,prakruti
Shri Minoo parabia: A gifted sermon from late vaidyashri Narsinha bhai. Blumea lacera, kalhar churna 20g + 2litres of water, soak at night. Filter next day morning.  Drink and finish by night. Even resistant microbes are irradiated with this. Course 7 days. Worked where Ciprofloxicin failed. Readymade marketed as Bactonil…..It is the bacterial infection due to the disregard for personal hygiene.  Simple care: keep water mug on a shelf instead of on a toilet floor. Same mug when immersed in bucket the water gets contaminated. Strange sexual habit. Sodomy cum regular intercourse.  Little care can save patients from recurrent infection.
Dr. Saritha Reddy: Which company manufacturers bactonil
Surat Vd. Sandip Patel: Parabia saheb thanks for your great BHAV for my GURU ..kalhar liquid I am use in all type of infection and evan I am use Kalhar Masi internally and externally .
Dr.Surendra Davanagere:  Chandanasava:  The Asava which is prepared with contents initiated by ‘Chandan’ is Chandanasava.  The other ingredients in Chandanasava enhance the Sheetal Guna of Chandan. Renowned by its Sheetal Gunadharma, the effect of Chandan becomes even more potent due to its combination with the other ingredients of Chandanasava.  Important ingredients & properties Chandan – Tikta, Kashay Rasatmak, Sheeta Veerya, Pitta Vata Shamak…. Mrudvika – Madhur Rasatmak, Sheeta Veerya, Pittashamak, Anulomak
Chandanasava is an extremely beneficial Asava in disorders of Mootravaha Srotas, especially Mootradaha,  Mootrakrucchra &  Mootraghat.  Chandanasava with its Sheetal Gunadharma & Mootral Karya helps reduce Dosha Dushti of Mootramarga instantly.  Puyameha or Gonorrhoea is characterized with
Urethral Inflammation, Burning sensation,  Wound formation & Pus formation. Being Dahashamak & Puyanashak, Chandanasava is extremely effective in such situations a condition. In where recurrent Urethral inflammation is noted, Chandanasava proves to be extremely effective if used alongwith Chandraprabha (With Loha Shilajatu).
Vd Raksha Shukla: Fresh Chandan pest mix in a cup of milk take two time morning&evening give best result
Dr Jayesh Patel: Gorakhmundi kashay  & Guduchi satva is very helpful in UTI
Dr. Suyog Kulkarni: Audumber Jal (औदुंबर जल ) works wonders.
Vd. Shrinidhi: For acute management chandanaasava along with chandra prabha vati and i use sheetha prabha. If the individual have recurrent UTI then shuddha shilajith works wonder if its continued for a month duly considering the dose depending on individual prakrithi
Bunty Gandhi: I have seen wonderful results in UTI or related problems with ayurvedic medicines even when normal antibiotics have failed. Medicines like chandanadi vati, chandanasava, chandraprabha vati, jivitprada vati, Gokshura, Neem Panchang Ghan Vati, Varunadi Kwath can be selected according to symptoms and prakriti..it works like wonder...Chandanadi-Gokshura-Jivitprada also maintains proper urine flow for which veltam is prescribed.
Vd. Ketan bhimani: Which medicine out of this bulk ??? Practically.
Vd. Dhruti Nirav Bhatt: Medicines are helpful prescribe above. But rule out cause of UTI if its due to high suger u should also control it.  Home remady: Milk with sodabicarb (khavana soda) good result. Dhanyak, Variyali,Munnaka and Sakar make Sharbat also good in UTI. But rule out cause
Dr. Prerak Shah: Personal hygiene also plays major role in UTI management.
Vd. Kinshuk Hirpara: I would go for just coconut water n watermelon juice fr a day.. This is the best treatment
Germany Helga Fuchs: Patient her with UTI get rest for some days in bed, lot of tea called Brennesseltea, (hot and bitter) and have to look for warming the lowerback and feet. All stress must be reduced. This is important to avoid possible forward infection of the kidneys. If infection is not proper handled and not gone in some days, medicin is taken.
Bunty Gandhi: Not all together…..
Dr. Prerak Shah: Does Bang bhasma is more effective in UTI?
Shri Minoo parabia: Alarsin combines Bang with Shilajit. Bangshil is the drug of choice
Vd. Ketan bhimani: Bangshil + fortage.
Dr. Arvind panchal: This combination is wonderful for prostate patients...👍🏻
Vd. Jayesh Thakkar: UTI may be considered as sa-ama mutram. As its presence of sa-ama Kapha. Tx is kapha hara cikitsa incorporated with jwar cikitsa. The following samprapti ghataka is seen 1. chala guna of vata reduced, 2.  usna tikta guna of pitta increased & 3. snigdha guna of kapha reduced
Vd. Tapan: Dry cleaning of anus after deification  with toilet paper is hygienic in females as routine and esp. In UTI. Using of water carries the germs from anus to vagina.
Vd. Jayesh Thakkar: Treatment plan is as per type 1.Vataja Mutrakrcchram (due to kidney stone) (tx eg. Gokshura prepn) 2. Pittaja mutrakrchram (acidic urine) (Tx eg. Chandana prepn, Chandanadi Vati) 3. Kaphaja (BPH secondary infn related) (Tx eg. Chandraprabha Vati, Varuna prepn etc) 4. Sannipataja (chronic UTI) where beside normal tx abhraka bhasma & loha bhasma mix with honey helps....in all pt should avoid pitta vardhak situations like using spice, having plenty fluids, use coconut, sugarcane, dhania commonly, maintain hygiene & tikta rasa use is best.
Shri Minoo parabia: True. Personal care is important.
Vd. Dipak Upadhyay: I think v r discussing on UTI as par AYURVEDA .... There is no BACTERIAL infection in AYURVEDA…….It's good that there are many symptomatic treatment for UTI.
Vd. Jayesh Thakkar: Infection condition can be considered as sa-aama state...and when we treat UTI considering mutrakriccha its more tha symptomatic tx as we have to consider dosha, exact cause, etc....Clinically the first line is definitely 'first relief' and preparations like Alka-5(Charak), Renalka(Himalaya Co) etc helps...but for cure we need going beyond symptomatic relief 🙏🏻
Vd. Dipak Upadhyay: Is there any role of panch karma ?
Vd. Jayesh Thakkar: Have not tried PK, experts may put in more light………Bed ridden patients on catheter for months & years  also show continuous infn in their Urine REME reports...here catheter & its change itself may be nidaan..experts plz also discuss how to handle such cases
Vd. Dipam Tripathi: One thing I share....that...In pt. Of prostate enlarged ...UTI is common so I advised to them is go urination in sitting position. ...so for that less urine store after urination
Shri Minoo parabia: Euphorbia hirta fresh juice with yava khsar works very well for nephrotic syndrome including lupus nephritis. I mentioned this because UTI is the secondary complication with prostate and nephritis.
Dr. Bhadresh Naik: Painless heamaturia is always complicated for above 45 male patients, Chance of ca prostate, Alarming sign………..Memopausal women having a chance of uti due to dry vagina………Erosion due to sexual relationship……..Kindly guide about renal hypertension…Patient age7 female…..Having a debling on of uti since one year…Gas pass true vagina with big sound…..She has to dipper 24hour Investigations are all normal exept plenty of puscell and rbc…..Albumin in urine absent….Scopy…MRI…CTscan….Gynecological examination is normal….Please guide for patients…Above case presantion is very interesting…..One of the vataj disease mention in bhavprakash sanhita
Dr. Madhuri Patil Chaudhari: Patient age 7 yrs.? Girl.  Considering history it seems recurrant UTI. Rule out all causes like unhygienic habits or adverse sexual contact, worm infestations…..Its better to control infection with proper antibiotics ASAP. Then start usual ayurved treatments with gokshuradi guggulu, chandraprabha vati etc to prevent recurrance proper counselling about habits.
Vd. Ajay Pithiya: Basti should be advised……Dhanya gokshurak ghrita is also suggested………Incontinence of urine..  Pt.  May be suffered due to neurogenic bladder
Dr. Madhuri Patil Chaudhari: Chandraprbha vati with dashmool kashay.
Vd. Jayesh Thakkar: The above case needs thorough case history taking. But this reminds me of one of my middle-aged lady patient who had no clinical symptoms or complaints of urine infection or any systemic problem but her lab test of urine would always show pus in high amount. Coming from a learned family she was too concerned. And had  antibiotics & many things even Ayu med. After considering all gave only Avipattikar Powder as nitya virechan and got a marked improvement........sometime things are not complicated as it seems 😃...we must look otherside...yukti 🙏🏻

Dr. Bhadresh Naik: Kindly refer Yogratnakar ….vatvydhi chapter…. Kindly refer tuni-Pratituni Nidan and sign and symptoms
Vd. Javed Ghumara: In recurrent UTI we must consider saam niram condition first....if saam condition is there we must converted it into niram first...then any pitshamak treatment will give good result....specially musta is a choice of drug in that condition...But here nidan parivarjan is must....
Dr. Bhadresh Naik: Tiryakgati of vayu, Keshkarshan nayay, Ozing of vayu instead of rectum go through vagina, Katibath of dashmool, Arkpartra deep in castor oil hot it put on lower abdomen, Hindvastakchurna, Vishtindukvati, Castor one tablespoons in hotwater at night, Goxuraduvati, Chandraprabhavati, Lodrasav  For six months….since Iast four years no complain…..Every two months urine report done…No pus cells  or RBC found…No gas through vagina
Vd. Kinshuk Hirpara: @madhuri patil: in india toilets r very bad in schools,  may be she doesn't like to go to washroom and she mayb supresing urine sensations. We can say vegavrodh, and because of that reflux . Mayb this is v small thing bt fr girl child all parents and doctors should keep that in mind.

Dr. Bhadresh Naik: Vd tapanbhai, Vd Prerakbhai…Kindly guide about more about tuni and pratituni….For this case more than ten super specialist of urologist gynecologist were involved
Dr. Prerak Shah: Ok. Let me conclude this topic here. I will prepare a summary of this tomorrow. It's recess time. Enjoy free discussion time. Tuni and prati-tuni are rare. Recently I had one male patient from Switzerland- suffering with the same. His all pathology and radiology reports were normal. Even at his age - about 28, western doctors had checked him for prostate. Nothing was abnormal. He was treated by gastro-entero, pain consultant, physician, urologist and finally case referred to psychiatrists. He is a Gujarati boy, working in Zurich, unmarried. No fix life style. No proper food, more consumption of mainda - super fined wheat flour, junk food, lentils, potatoes, extreme cold climate, - in short all causes - nidana for Vata aggravation. And top on that he was forced to control urge of urine during long working hours - vega dharana. For us, it was clear case of tuni- pain starting from below neval and traveling through penis - till the tip of it. He spent nearly 7-8 months with Swiss doctors - but could not get any diagnosis. No doctor can give him any idea - assurance abt his condition. And when he met me I gave him clear diagnosis. Asked him to read our book. And he was well convinced. Rest of the story is short. I have him chitrakadi vati, gasex and haingvashtak churna…Plus 8 matra basti course and every symptoms - pain. Abdominal distress etc subsided.  He is back in Swiss and now no complain since last two months. Vatanuloman is the key word. For treating such condition. Any Vata problem with pelvic nervous system can be nicely and effectively treated with basties
Shri Minoo parabia: This is what I call NAVNEET. Butter. Let Ayurveda make this world healthy.

Vd. Vishal Patel: Sarivadyasav or chandanasav can also be useful when there is burning micturation.
Dr. Bhavesh Modh: The very   common cinnamon herb’s powder is powerful enough to kill those E. coli bacteria causing  UTI.  A study carried out in Germany has showed that cinnamon can actually kill this bacteria.  to make tea out of this magical herb and have it for 3-4 times a day.• Take warm water in a cup.• Add cinnamon powder  5gm to it and mix well.• Drink it.• While drinking this tea, keep a spoon ready with you to stir the tea occasionally because if your’s is a true herb, the cinnamon will not blend easily with the water. You’ll need to stir and mix it often till you finish the drink……….If you are using cinnamon tea to prevent UTI, its enough to drink this tea once a day but if your infection has already set in, have 3-4 cups of it daily.
Warning: Cinnamon can stop or delay menstruation.  if regularly consume cinnamon in such high quantities. In fact, in ancient Egypt, this herb had been used as a contraceptive.  Pregnant lady, avoid using this remedy for UTI because it can also induce labor. Also do not apply this remedy on kids below two years of age. When giving this tea to older kids and people above 65 years of age, use low quantities of cinnamon initially.

Vd. Pankaj Chhayani: Coconut water and sugarcane juice both are very good.. Excess intake of water is necessary…..Spreading hogweed, tribulus terrestris and other diuretics are helpful in preventing colonization of bacteria...
Vd. Rahul Marwah: @ Pankaj Ji - coconut water and Sugarcane juice both are kapha vardhak... Drinking liquid in nominal proportion is necessary. For mutra daha, ask patient to stop having hotel food or street food especially pani puri, sev puri, dhokla, udli dosa etc type of Amla-lavan ras Pradhan aahar
Vd. Pankaj Chhayani: @ Vd rahul, coconut water and sugarcane juice both are purifiers of urinary tract...recurrent colononization of bacteria  due to poor hygiene is most common cause of UTI.. And if both are kapha vardhaka then kaphavardhaka articles are good to control burning
Vd. Rahul Marwah: Kapha vardhak articles are not necessarily useful to control the pitta….Pitta and Kapha both share Drava guna common in them…..Therefore in amlapitta u c there is manifestation of either urodaha (burning) which is predominantly pitta Pradhan or hrullas (nauseating) which is due to kapha……Samprapti goes in direction of the dosha associated and the stana affected
Vd. Amarish Pandya: Very common home remedy for UTI  particularly burning micturation is  milk with drinking soda which provides prompt result. I use it successfully since long.  For recurrent UTI cranberry' juice i. e. Parushak svaras ( phalasa no ras) is  very useful. Tablets of its extract is widely prescribed by urologists. Sariva  is also potentially useful for recurrent UTI. Chandanadi vati and Jivitprada vati are useful classical remedies apart from chandraprabha vati and Gokshuradi  gugguu. Vd. Pankaj Chhayani: Pls refer charaka samhita and susruta sanhita for Coconut water and Sugarcane juice... Ixumul is one contain of trinpanchmula.. Trinpanchamula is also very good for UTI.. If u says that ixu is not working then trinpanchmula should not he too...pls refer charaka and susruta...
Vd. Rahul Marwah: Sure….Sushrut says ikshu ras taken by crushing it through machine is vidhahi in nature…..Trunpanch mool used together is mutral

Dr. Ravi Dewan: Heat is the cause of smell in urine according to Acupuncture. It can be correlated to sadhak pitta.
Vd. Pulkit D. Patel: gandha (smell) is b’coz of pitta..... sadhak pitta?
Dr. Bhavesh Modh: पेयम् इक्षुरसम्  क्षीरंसगुडं बदरोदकम्  । मूत्रक्षीणः अभिलषति  त्रपुस एवं उर्वारुकाणि च ।। Treatment of Anuria  or Oliguria or hypouresis  is the low output of urine. In humans, it is clinically classified as an output more than 80 ml/day but less than 400ml/day.      (however, the value of 0.5 mL/kg/h is commonly used to define oliguria in adults as well.) The decreased output of urine may be a sign of dehydration, kidney failure, hypovolemic shock, HHNShyperosmolar Hyperglycemic Nonketotic Syndrome, multiple organ dysfunction syndrome, urinary obstruction/urinary retention, DKA, pre-eclampsia, and urinary tract infections, among other conditions.
Dr. P. A. vora: Barley water; Punarnava; Gokshur have good result in UTI and kidney stone removal+
